last time they played in the playoffs. Florida's forecheck, defense and physical play was too much for the Leafs to overcome. Florida still has this advantage . But now with a very good third line centered by Brad Marchand. Tampa had a lot of difficulty with this lineup. And Florida stopped the league's highest scoring team's powerplay to almost goalless . Will the Leafs have the same issue? Most likely. Florida will win the series
We can and WILL beat Florida, but I feel it's going to 7. I found myself almost arguing with a friend of mine over his take on how Florida could do tonight with Ekblad having been suspended for an incident in Round 1, and they still have numerous X-factors. 0:46 I would like to believe that unless the Leafs beat the Panthers in four or five games, the 2025 playoff series between the two teams will be longer than the five-game 2023 series. Realistically I see the Panthers as favourites to win that series in no more than six games give the physicality they have and also players on that team Who only last June won a Stanley Cup. Home-ice advantage should help the Leafs, but even that only means so much as they’ve struggled so often in postseason play on home ice.
The leafs are the underdogs…they love proving people wrong…and they have the 4 best offensive guys in this series…i say leafs in 6…
Leafs def needa pick up the slack imo. First round shoulda been just some good ol' target practice and it's a big jump to a juggernaut.
