The Oilers can win the Cup but they will have to change their style against Vegas. The Golden Knights are bigger and have about the same speed. Put it this way, if the Oilers can get two goals, that's two, every game from depth guys (Brown, Janmark, Kulak, etc) they can win the Cup. But they have to score two. Why do I say two? Well in game seven last year they got one from Janmark and lost 2-1 to Florida. They needed another because McD, Drai and Hyman went dry in game 7. Think about it though, two depth goals every game will destroy any opponent. That's because their top guys comprise say 4 out of 18 skaters. That's not much in terms of percentage. Only 22 per cent. You say McD, Drai, Hyman and Bouchard. So you got another 14 guys who are depth guys. Anyone can score. And hopefully it is anyone.
I dumped the Kings as my team in summer '24 after watching GM R Blake squander a Cup winning roster and winning culture. Since '17, R Blake took the Kings to the bottom and 8 seasons later have won zero playoff series. 0-5 in first round, 7W 16L in 1st round. Team plays neutral zone trap style cause, as a whole, the team is weak w/o puck. Cup winning Kings team never play that 1-3-1, and soft, weak w/o puck, low compete-level in heavy playoff hockey players like Fiala would never get acquired in first place.
It's possible the Oilers could win the cup but the defence and the goalies are still a concern. But if they keep playing the the way they have been I can't see why not!
