Is Boudreau betting on Oilers to beat the Golden Knights?

The Oilers dispatched the Kings for the fourth consecutive year and now move on to play the Golden Knights in the next round. How does Edmonton stack up against Vegas? How long of a leash should be given to Calvin Pickard in this series? TSN Hockey analyst Bruce Boudreau joins Domino’s That’s Hockey to share his thoughts on this and more.

  1. Lol, the Oilers last year were more dangerous looking than they are now because they had better balance on defense? Well no shit, they're missing their best D man in Ekholm. The Oilers are so much deeper at forward this year and rely less on the powerplay than previously.

  2. Why does he keep talking about how good McDavid and Draisaitl were in the last two games? And how they dragged the rest of the team into the fight the last two games. I mean they played well but those were definitely not their best games, especially game 6. I wonder if he watched or is just commenting on what he figures probably happened.

  3. Boudreau is picking vegas because he shares a name with vegas.
Oilers have more bigger guys and bangers than they ever did. That 4th line was maybe the best in the playoffs through the first round. I never bet against the will of the oil.

  4. All I heard a week before it started was LA was the better team they gonna take it, oilers had nothing to prove this year as in position, they were there last year, just make the playoffs, they did and now we know it's a different beast come playoff time, refs sure play the game, 😂😂. Pretty sure they have what it takes to take out vegas, their jerseys looking heavy these days….

  5. I thought this guy was a head coach in the NHL? Buddy, the last 2 games – Mcdavid and Draisailt had 2 points combined and Oilers still won. I believe the Oilers have more forward depth than last year. But yes, D is questionable an goaltending is average.

  6. Pics has stand to stand tall along with Skinner when called upon we got this guys remember they beat u and won the cup that year revenge is best served cold let's go oil

  7. The only reason the Knights won that series is because Hartman's late goal in game 5 was disallowed. The Wild actually outscored Vegas 19-18 in the series. Vegas was lucky to win this series. They did not look very impressive.

  8. Blah blah blah Draisaitl and Mcdavid blah blah blah. As if those are the only 2 players for the oilers. Go back to bed old man you're talking nonsense again.

  9. They won’t forget 2 yrs ago. If knobbly coaching that yr they would of pops that Vegas. This time will be redemption time and make the hockey world proud.. bettman team is gone..

  10. I have a dream.. The demons of the last three years are all exorcised these playoffs. Beat Vegas, then Colardo then the Panthers… THAT would be a dream redemption run!

  11. Bruce is a r e t a r d . Does he even have an nhll coaching job? McDavid and drai had 3 points between them in last 3 games… Bruce stay awake to watch the games before talking.

  12. This Broudreau guy is blind. I don't know what first round he was watching but oilers depth rebounded in the last four games. Knights are a great well rounded team but they also the slowest team in the league as well and seemed to struggle at times with the wild. I'm excited to watch a rematch between these 2 teams as both have grown since 2023.

  13. This guy is completely out to lunch. Mcd and drai did not drag the team with them. They collectively won the series withoit dragging anyone behind them. Kane is a beast! Picks has been on points. The bottom 6 are scoring and hitting. This guy needs to stay as a retired coach

  14. Sounds like two people that didn't spend much time watching the series, 97/27 had a small amount of impact on the result of the last two games. It was the depth that dragged the superstars to the second round, now it's their turn to step up.
