HIGHLIGHTS: Blue Jackets 2, Canucks 1 | Bemstrom, Robinson tally; Merzlikins wins in return

The Blue Jackets completed their annual Western Canada trip with a 2-1 victory vs. Vancouver at Rogers Arena on Sunday night.

After a quiet first period for each team, Columbus used goals from a pair of rookies to take a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes of play. Vancouver got one back midway through the third but the Blue Jackets were able to close it down from there to earn the victory and leave Western Canada with three points on the three-game trip and take the first wild card spot.

CBJ Standouts

Emil Bemstrom scored his fifth goal in the last eight games and the 10th of his rookie season.
Eric Robinson tallied for the seventh time this season to give Columbus a 2-0 lead late in the second period.
