I will always back my Habs but let must be honest, that was one of the most lacklustre performances I’ve seen, young or not.
I disagree that we had control of the game, we never did. We may have been up 2-1 but we were never in control. GHG

I only hope everyone realises that the youngest team in the league is very unlikely to win the Stanley Cup or to stop the arguably best team of the season. Every playoffs game is a bonus for us Habs fans. Respect to the players and the coaching staff. Let's hope for a miracle but also keep it real.

They played well against the refs and the Caps last night. Refs lack of consistency so frustrating. Team played great. Feel bad for Carrier not seeing Wilson coming… PP1 has arrived! GHG!

The refs have nothing to do with it. It’s called playoff hockey. Stop blaming the officials ; that’s really weak. I, for one, am not going there. No excuses.

Demidov is learning how to do his thing while playing tight checking playoff hockey. Can you imagine how that will translate to the looser, more open ice of the regular season next year? On the Carrier hit, I thought you had to stop skating 2 strides before a hit to not get called for charging. Wilson skated until 1 stride away. Washington plays 2 hard physical games and nothing from Bettman. The Habs play physical and the Caps cry to Bettman and he issues a warning? The fix is in. Keep the faith! GO HABS GO!
HOW can you watch that game and say we were in charge of the game? 8 shots in two periods is fucking pathetic. I'm so dissapointed.
Meh were a rebuilding team. Whos almost complete. And we did serious damage to the Caps and stood toe to toe. Our young stars got lots of experience. So it would be fine if we dont make it past round 1.
The NHL really wants Ovi in the playoffs after his record setting season…it’s obvious. And I get it…Suzuki’s non-Thompson high stick last game…The mystery high stick on Dvorak last night. The Washington Oscars on full display as well…best actor goes to Spencer Carbery for bitching about every single play on the ice…it’s quite the performance.

I got Sportsnet for the playoffs. I've never seen a sport reffed so inconsistently. I changed from period to period
The refs on this series are definitely pro Washington. So many missed calls against Washington.
I'm very proud of this team . Even if we lose we weren't supposed to make the playoffs. It's not fair that the referee is trying to give the cup to Washington. Washington is a bunch of bullies that need to pick on players their own size. Go habs go. I hope Washington loses in the second round . But they really lost by one goal. Two goals in the empty net. Boys, don't know about your feelings are but I'm getting tired of a to tier penalty calling systems with the officials. Ovie is the best scorer in nhl history but i have been saying since 2005 that he hits hard but he is dirty. The rule simply is if am player takes more than 5n strides before hitting people THE PENTALY IS CHARGING.
Looking forward to see floirsn tuck and Thorpe in the line up in a year or too. Think we are going to make some trades with some Laval player. If Slaf is a 25 goal scorer and a hitter and banner style play. I'm very happy with that.

As a Caps fan, the Habs don’t look bad at all, and this series is definitely not over yet. I’m surprised we aren’t tied right now as honestly the Habs could very easily be 3-1

Reffing for the whole series has been bad, for both teams. Not consistent at all. They let cross checking and hits to the heads go, but call for barely touching someone. Disgusting!
Yeah thats great about Lane, but if you are going to call out the good then call the bad too. The first goal was on him, he gave it away and didn't finish his check. He also gave the puck away on the first empty net goal.
Carrier has been the best D-Man in the series so he had target on his back. We should have injured one of their players aswell when we were losing.
Caufield was a minus 4, (-4), not worth anything in the playoffs! He's a liability, too small too cocky, he is no Theo Flury, maybe women's hockey is right for him. He is not the future.
Hutson a minus 3, do you really think they could handle the banging of 4 rounds, they are not tough like St.Louis or Flury. time to trans and play womens hockey.

They should just lose, get the 17th pick, and consider themselves lucky the core was not injured, and get the 2C and fill the bottom 6 with bigger bodies. There is no more room for small players. The bottom 6 is already Evans, Newhook, Beck. Can't have anymore.
