Relief. Series win, but I sure as hell didn't like the Perron goal. Pacioretty bailed out 'no tarp' Stolarz out on a goal that really shouldn't go in imo. That said, 3 of the 'core 4' produced points & Bill had a really good game on his birthday. They did what they had to do, but gave us palpitations more than once. Fingers crossed they can level up for Fla.

How many goalie busts did Dubas go through? 10? first goalie Treliving brings in is a stud. First full season Treliving fixes the defence like it was nothing after almost a decade of being brutal. Berube 1 series win in 1 attempt. Keefe out round 1 yet again but this time in 5 games. Dubas took the penguins from bubble team to lottery team. Management has been the issue since day 1. Shanahan should be fired for betting on incompetent losers like Dubas and Keefe for as long as he did.

Congrats on beating the Senators. Now the real battle begins with Florida. It's going to be an interesting series stats-wise with three of the top four faceoff centers being involved: Matthews and Domi tied for #2 @59.5% and Barkov #3 @59.3%. Toronto is #1 as a team winning 56.6% of their faceoffs while Florida is #9 @49.3%. Toronto has the 3rd highest PP @35.3% while Florida is #2 in PK @88.9%. Stolarz and Bobrovsky are tied in both GAA and save percentage @2.21 and @.901 respectively. Toronto and Florida both scored the same number of goals with 19 although Toronto has played one more game than Florida. Toronto is #9 in the number of hits with 204 while Florida is #5 with 217 but the Leafs just went through a round with the team with the most number of hits: Ottawa with 269.
If Toronto's PP can breakthrough Florida's PK and can sustain its faceoff dominance, and Stolarz goes toe-to-toe with Brobovsky in net, they have a good a chance as any in defeating Florida and going through to Round 3. Go Leafs Go!
