I think Pat would be a great choice. Rick could also be great. Something tells me like they Pat based on his style and system. I think it fits what they invision based on where this roster will be.

There's no need to mince words. Rick Tocchet is seen unfavorably by some (borderline mentally-ill) Flyers fans because he was a "tough" player when he played. And these (again borderline mentally-ill) fans don't like that because they ultimately want to see the Flyers play like the Edmonton Oilers led by Michkov, despite having barely a fraction of their talent and nothing to suggest they ever will.

Do The Flyers need to hire a coach? Team's don't need to name a captain. They can just jave 1 to 3 assistant captains. Could they just have assistant coaches and not name a head coach? It's not like it will make any difference who they hire anyway.
