  1. We won't be better next year. We will lose Dvorak and Armia and Savard. We have big holes to fill and our system is ok but they will be rookies. Unless we use free agencie players, I believe we will be worst.

  2. There is that potential for the Habs to go even further next postseason than they did this postseason. It’s possible the Habs will end up losing in the first round yet again or end up not qualifying for the 2026 postseason. Either way, the Habs were not an easy out for the Capitals, with having made produce and play significant progress over any of the prior three seasons. I see Marty St. Louis staying as Habs’ head coach at least until the end of next season, depending on how things go, with a winning culture throughout the locker room. That’s in contrast to what went on this season with a Canucks’ team whose own most-recent ex-head coach, Rick Tocchet, chose to become such due to IMO a broken culture within the locker room of the Western Canadian team.

  3. They're just kids. The future looks bright. They will learn and apply the lessons from this experience. They're gonna be deadly.

  4. ……WOW !!!……the hab's brain trust has constructed the perfect young team to rack up tons of points in the regular season and provide the Bell Center faithful with even more thrilling first round moments for years to come !!!!………………..

  5. Congrats to the boys. They didn't win but they put up a fight and gained some experience in the process. A 4-1 series loss does not reflect the play in each game

  6. This is it boys. Let's not forget why you were good before….CAREY PRICE. It's not going to get better than this. Rangers, Bruins, Pens all played bad this year, one of these won't screw up next year. You're a bubble team at best.

  7. Just remember we took Patrick Laine's contract from Columbus and we edge the same Blue Jackets by a single point to make the playoffs. They need to resign either Dvorak or Armia and sign a top free agent this summer.

  8. The Canadiens are an exciting team. I'm sad they didn't go further this year but it's going to be so exciting to see them next year.

  9. Caufield was a minus 4 in game 4, How can he improve, maybe a second growth spurt?
Don't draft smurfs, unless they are super tough.

  10. An easy series for the Caps, Tom Wilson was just getting warmed up, probably slightly bored with the smurfs.

  11. Lots of band aids on this team….will be a bubble team for years but so are many teams….Bell Centre Will still sell out, Jerseys will be sold, team will make tons of money…don’t need to be a winner to win in sports anymore…at least not in Canada.

  12. This is hilarious. They blew the draft pick this yr and now they think they are good. Good old habs will always be a middle pack team.

  13. As much as I appreciate the effort involved, it’s like trying to cross a jungle in a Volkswagen Beetle—it just isn’t going to work. I find it sad that everything Marc Bergevin learned about the vital need for toughness, physicality during his ten years as GM went down the drain when he left; it’s now slowing the team’s progress, and the new management has to start the learning from scratch once again. Also they can't just get any tough player ; they have to be Molson approved first. Forget Mailloux, he's doomed in Montreal because of it.
