I don't think Dobes is to blame, the Caps pressured him constantly and he made some fantastic saves. They couldn't get the puck past Thompson enough.

Montreal only scored 6 even strength goals in the 4 games that they lost… was not good enough 5v5. Thompson did come up with some huge saves to keep that number low, but same could be said for Montembeault and Dobes!
Good game for the Capitals,I would suggest to be even more "offensive" and to adapt to the game.

Finally! The Washington Capitals advance past the 1st round of the playoffs since they won the Stanley Cup in 2018!
I feel a bit guilty not cheering for Montreal, because they are a Canadian team 😔. But they did really well to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since they reached the Stanley Cup Final against Tampa Bay a few years ago!
