  1. Blues fans can we please give it up for “Big Country” Tyler Tucker? He had a phenomenal game with his first career playoff goal. Hope he’s not hurt too bad. Go Blues (love the show)

  2. I played hockey as a goaltender for years as a kid, and I've heard my entire life that the goalie can't be blamed if his team fails him.
    This works both ways.
What good is a Vezina trophy if you can't "up your game" for the playoffs?
He's just a very talented, very streaky backup.
One thing I've noticed throughout the first 4 games is that the Jets are nowhere near as deep as the Blues are. They rely on a short list of talented players- maybe 2 lines worth- and they all play on the power play. That's why their power play is so good on paper. They play filthy behind the play, then rely on their opponent to take a stupid penalty in response. Not a bad strategy- but being a one trick pony is pretty easy to counter- *if STL can stay disciplined.
If the Blues don't fall for the bull shit the referees aren't calling, the Jets don't get any power plays.
If STL continues to rub it into their faces that Hallebuck is on a shit streak, STL wins in 6.

  3. Blues have made the adjustments and it shows. Jets have to scramble and test their adjustments in a crucial game. I like the blues odds to win this series right now.

  4. Lets not forget the Montgomery factor. The kids have played well, Kyrou reminds me of Hull (not scoring skill) defensively. Hull learned defense it seems under Hitch in Dallas. Kyrou is coming along. Thomas is masterful, seldom has an off night. This team is a winner regardless of the outcome of the series.

  5. Blues fan here, we're playing with house $. You might avoid 1st wave but when the defense becomes a 3rd winger, it's tough to stop. Chaos infront of the net.

  6. Referres are afraid or biased on non calls for dirty play by Jets. Can't match line after line of good hockey so they try to hurt players or draw penalties when players strike back against cheap shots. The refs job is to keep the game going and stop the cheap shots. They called some in St. Louis but Jets keep the cheap shots coming, throwing them out for game and next will stop that crap.

  7. Those first two games in this series were way too close to give an advantage to the jets at home. Especially with how dominant the blues were in the last two games. Blues fans know this is the style of the blues. I don’t even think they’re peaking yet. Go blues!

  8. I’m hyped for these next two games, if the blues win this next one it is a good chance we can win the series. I’m not saying we will but I think we can. Anything can happen.

  9. Lowry has by far been the worst player in the series. Terrible penalty after terrible penalty. Gotta be the worst captain in the playoffs

  10. I'm so tired of people talking about Connor playing poorly… Can we PLEASE give the Blues credit here?? They have done this to the JETS. NOT JUST CONNOR! -Blues fan here

  11. Didn't they already say Holloway will not return this season? I'm a Blues fan, so I hope I'm imagining that, but I'm pretty sure they already announced he is out for the remainder of playoffs..

  12. Injuries are part of the game but having Vilardi & Ehlers out at the same time has really hurt the Jets offence, PP, lines & depth. Getting Vilardi back should help the top line & PP, but Ehlers speed is missed big time. He makes Namestnikov & Perfetti better players and forces the D to back up.
I doubt we see him this series though.

  13. when i watched the replay of Tucker go down, it looked like his leg crumpled in the wrong direction beneath his weight. I would be shocked if he came back this series.

  14. Having Ryan Suter replacing Tucker does not bother me at all!! The old vet could not be a better reserve. We lose toughness, but I bet Suter shows up in game 5…

  15. As a blues fan, I’m not expecting this team to win the cup. Obviously I want them to win as much as possible and go on as deep of a run as possible but I’m not going to be disappointed if they get knocked out at some point in the playoffs here. I do however really want them to beat Winnipeg. These young guys are getting so much valuable experience in this series alone but it would do wonders for them and everyone else if they could experience beating a 1 seed as an 8 seed. Along with beating Winnipeg, going into the 2nd round or even the conference final would be awesome for this team but if they do get there, win or not, I’ll be very proud of these boys. LGB! #KillTheJets

  16. No Tucker no blues win. Hit Fowler hard and often and blues will become putty and give up easily. 17 will be the player of the series once the Jets move on to the second round.

  17. It’s good news that Tucker is only listed day-to-day. I thought he’d be declared out for 6-9 months.

  18. The Jets haven't won a game in this series yet; the blues gave the W's away in game 1&2. The blues out played the Jets in the first 2 periods of game 1&2 but let off the gas in the third period and the Jets took advantage (as a good team would) and barely pulled out both wins. Games 3&4 the blues played the full 60 min and blew the Jets away. If Blues show up and play the full 60 in game 5 they will get the win. The proof is in the pudding.

  19. Blues all the way. And Neihbors has been outstanding, Thomas has been outstanding. I mean I think the blues are on fire. They've got some momentum. Let's get it done boys.

  20. Blues fan bias coming in, but I think the Jets are being out coached. Montgomery identified the weakness in how Helley goaltends and the jets defend for it and have changed how the Blues play around it. Even if they wind up beating the Blues, going up against Jared Bednars Avs or DeBoers Stars, the Jets will get beaten. They don't practice playoff hockey where another team gets time to learn how you operate and they don't run a system that's easy to adjust from

  21. Game 5 is the single biggest game in Hellebuyck career. If he blows it, yet again, it’s time to trade him for a bucket of chicken! And I have no faith what so ever he can turn it around. Go Bombers!
