  1. We need to hear Marco speak Mandarin! Might miss the game tonight, so I hope we win. Don't want my last Habs viewing experience to be Sunday's game! And of course, want to see the Habs win. Go Habs Go!

  2. To win tonight, the HABS need to play a disciplined game. If there is anything I have learned from this team is that they have a great capacity to adapt their play to find the vulnerabilities of the CAPS. They should rely on that. If they need any inspiration they should look at how the Oilers played last night. Complete domination because they paid attention to details (that was Corey Perry's opinion too!) I would put Arber Xhekaj in, if the flow isn't there take time outs and remind the team (seems like they lose the flow more often than not!) And lastly, I have nothing but admiration for the job they have done now, even if they don't win.

  3. Seems to me you can put Laine on PP2 and move Suzuki to the other side. Gally in front, Newhook at bumper and Matheson at point. Room to improve for next year, but I’m fine with this for tonight!

  4. Love the show. Would like your comment on coaching of MIke Matheson and habs D in general. With 4:50 left in 3rd period of last game, Matheson had puck and was kind of dangling around in neutral zone. Then he make a decision which shocked me in a tied game. He got over the red line on the right side without a lot speed. All 3 of Suziki, Slaf and Caufield were just outside the opposing blue line and ready to enter the offensive zone – although they were slowed waiting for Matheson to dangle. There were 4 Caps on Matheson on the right side all around the blue line. Matheson shot the puck in and chased it. He did not come close to retrieving it or even getting a good hit. He hit the boards mostly and was totally out of position. Caps moved it quickly and created an awkward rush with Matheson way out of the play. What ensued was Habs 1st line defending in own zone while Matheson tried to get back in position. A complete waste of 1st line shift until Caufield got it out and they changed. Caps got it back in immediately with Dvorak line now on ice and puck stayed in Habs zone until Dvo shot it down the ice – almost iciing – and it came back the other way for winning goal. IMO, this entire sequence is on Matheson's poor decision with 5 minutes left in a tie game. It is not like he had momentum or space. If he would have just put the puck deep, Habs had Caps deep with 1st line on. Habs D were already down a man – Matheson is supposed to be the vet that knows better? If they were down 2 goals, it might have made sense for him to try to create something out of nothing but even down a goal, I would have said this was a terrible decision.

  5. Here’s what I expect: the youngest team ever to make the playoffs is going to give absolutely everything they have to win this game. If that’s not good enough tonight, I have zero complaints. I already can’t even wait for next season.

  6. Love the show. Watching from Portugal and a lifelong Habs fan born in Hull, grew up in St.Albert, AB. On a previous point you made, Demidov got his first points playing with Newhook and Armia. Great line.

  7. Is it just me or are these two Marco and Shawn a little combative with each other. Almost like they are being forced to work with each other. They don't seem like friends.

I do love their habs content l, never miss an episode 👍

  8. Let them lose in peace, escape further injuries, and add the missing pieces in the off-season to be better prepared in the future.

  9. I find usually requires scoring at least one goal more than the other team. This is how they can win. Score one more goal than Washington. Also unfair to single out a “gamer” on a single game night. They’re all “gamers”.

  10. Off season Laine needs to do bike work and leg presses calve raises.. move weigh normal speeds..slow .and quicker to build up his leggs..he's slow on his feet… maybe jog a bit for cardio…eat better…then he's full value.
