With the NHL Draft right around the corner, HC’s Daren Millard and Doug MacLean discuss the difficulty of trading up, specifically the Vegas Golden Knights chances of landing the #1 pick and Nolan Patrick.
I guess Vegas could end up with Fleury and trade him with the 6th pick to Philly for the 2nd pick and a bad contract like Andrew MacDonald. (Fleury+6th pick for MacDonald+2nd). If I was Philly I would just take Patrick (if he is there at the 2nd pick) and be deep at center but a deal is not impossible.

I could be wrong, but from what ive heard this could be one of the weaker drafts in recent years, maybe a good idea to sell picks this year for picks in future years, especially since vegas may be at the bottom for a couple years. Saying that, does vegas want Nolan that bad?

he's not a McDavid or Matthews so i'm not sure it's worth the hype unless patrick proves analysts wrong and becomes a franchise player
