HC @ Noon: Vegas trading up for Nolan Patrick?

With the NHL Draft right around the corner, HC’s Daren Millard and Doug MacLean discuss the difficulty of trading up, specifically the Vegas Golden Knights chances of landing the #1 pick and Nolan Patrick.

  1. he's not a McDavid or Matthews so i'm not sure it's worth the hype unless patrick proves analysts wrong and becomes a franchise player

  2. With such a weak draft, don't pass up the 1st overall pick. Use that value for a future asset

  3. Not gonna happen, No point either, Patrick isnt Mcdavid or Matthews…Not even as good as some of the top 10 in last 3 years

  4. I guess Vegas could end up with Fleury and trade him with the 6th pick to Philly for the 2nd pick and a bad contract like Andrew MacDonald. (Fleury+6th pick for MacDonald+2nd). If I was Philly I would just take Patrick (if he is there at the 2nd pick) and be deep at center but a deal is not impossible.

  5. WE HAVE 11 DRAFT PICKS YOU DUMBASS'… shero already said he doesn't wanna use all of them. In a weaker draft class you gotta be on some serious shrooms to wanna let go of the best possible piece

  6. A. Vegas has nothing to trade

    B. NJ is taking Hischier anyways, so they don't need the 1st pick to get Patrick

  7. I could be wrong, but from what ive heard this could be one of the weaker drafts in recent years, maybe a good idea to sell picks this year for picks in future years, especially since vegas may be at the bottom for a couple years. Saying that, does vegas want Nolan that bad?
