Never draft for need in hockey until later round fills in my opinion. You could have 4 stud centers and if a mcdavid type player is on the board you take him anyway despite the fact you have 4 centers already. With that being said I think if they do somehow get lottery luck with the first pick you take the defensemen for sure

Jason (or anyone for that matter), does it hurt you as much as it hurts me to see the level of success that Andrei Kuzmenko is having in LA? It's like he was the missing piece in the King's puzzle, do you agree? Torts once said that Kuz was "inconsistent" but then he goes to LA and performs well. Does Tort's assessment of Kuzmenko speak more about the Flyers Kuzmenko played with? Your thoughts? Godspeed on treatment #8, you're in my prayers, man.

Briere needs to have a free hand and also access to the wallet. He knows hockey and is about youth. Hockey is about energy, passion and simply WANTING it. He gets those types of talented players, those WANTING to play to win, energetic and keeping in focus on improving, a nurturing yet name brand coach who knows winning hockey, Flyers can get back to being respected. Goalie, Flyers need 2 who can bring the fire and intensity, both missing. The Phillies can also do well to have their fire lit, too, as no passion, just losing base ball play.
