You have to keep in mind that the hockey gods hate the Leafs. What would they consider funnier? Getting reverse-swept by Ottawa? Or sweeping Ottawa, only to get swept themselves by Florida… and Brad Marchand?

I've been watching Benoit all season. From the git go, I watched him take the body time after time, and I thought, at last, a solid D-man who means business and will put his body on the line. I don't give a monkey's ass about him scoring or not scoring. He's steady Eddy back there, and that's what counts.

It is the funniest thought that the refs like the Leafs.
Yesterday was living proof of just how biased refereeing is. It's as if Bettman and Brady sat down and decided which penalties would be called.
It will only get worse against the Panthers (assuming the Leafs and the refs don't conspire to give this away). Yes, the Lightning are dead, pos sibly in four. And Maurice has little 5'2" in high heels Gary and the refs in his pocket.

Benny was the hero, but Domi needs some props too for just shooting it at the goalie to get the faceoff. I 💯% think if this was earlier this season or last season, he would of tried to make that cross ice pass, which is a high risk pass. He didn't. The Leafs were dominant on the faceoffs all night amd look what happens when you shoot the puck on net!
