They have been down 3-1 too, with Toronto in 2021.
The Caps only win 28% of the time when they are 2 games up of an opponent in their 50 year history of playoff hockey so Montreal will win the game on Wednesday
Why do you roll videos that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand
The only reason Halak was traded in the summer of 2010 was Bob Gainey one of the worst GM's Montreal ever had.
Gainey turned the Flying Frenchmen into the NHL circus joke because he was damned determined to show the league that he didn't waste the 5th pick in the first round draft on a goaltender…Carey Price…who proved a flop in 2009-10 during the regular season and playoffs.
Halak saved Mtl that year in 2 rounds.
Gainey had gotten rid in previous years of players who were offensive minded and loaded the team with players who couldn't score. They lost the series to Philly because of that.
Since Halak had played better than Price ego-driven Gainey traded away Halak that summer for a bucket of pucks ….not for any offensive power but for no-name players for a goaltender who took down the two best teams in the NHL that Spring down 3-1 in games in each series.
One of Gainey's great trades was for Scott Gomez, a broken down player whose good years were far behind him and making him the highest or near highest paid player on the team.
I think he scored 2-3 goals over 2 seasons before they bought him out of his contract……that was Bob Gainey…the best defensive player in the league during his career but the worst GM Montreal could hire.
You are not wrong about Halak
Yes he’s technically Slovak now
But he was born Czechoslovakian
Summary of the video: a generation ago we won against a team that has 1 player still on their roster and none on our own. therefore we will do it again
