  1. He’ll be working for Anaheim, NY, or LI within a week. The Pens are aging and their window is slammed shut. Mike should be happy he has a chance to go to a competitive franchise.

  2. For him to go to the Bruins he would want a five year contract. which they never do with coaches. totally control of the roster. willingness for the organization to be patient as they go through this transition. i am sure he would want to pick his own staff. there is no doubt that Neely is the alpha of the organization.

  3. It seemed like players would come here and not do well and players would leave and do better. Was it coaching? I don't know.

  4. The Irony of Kyle Dubas making a decision to move on from Sulli is laughable! FIRE DUBAS…he is the problem. Everything he has done has gone to crap!

  5. It was time to move on from Mike Sullivan. The Penguins held on to him for way too long, and he just wasn't the same. Every coach has an expiration date, his expiration date in Pittsburgh was in 2020 (unfortunately).

  6. Who will boy wonder Dubas hire as the new coach? Keefe’s locked up so what coach from the Soo Greyhounds is available? I feel for Sid having to play under such a pathetic GM……..

  7. terrible move from a terrible general manager ! if there is any justice in the world sullivan will go to the rangers and spank the pens on a regular basis !

  8. Wow. An actual good coach on the offseason coaching carousel. The carousel is usually reserved for the Laviolettes and Ruffs, coaches that suck but still get hired nd re-hired.

  9. I don’t see Pittsburgh achieving any positive results towards a rebuild until the end of 27/28 when the end of career veteran player contracts will all have elapsed (Malkin, Letang etc.). For now, they just need to make good strides with drafting a new team. They will need at least 2-3 years from there to truly develop into a potential playoff contender (so 30/31 or later). The GM will be far more significant towards building that future team than the coach they opt for to reside over the next 3 years of decline.

  10. Talk about blaming the wrong guy. Pens resigned Malkin, letang and getting EK65 WAS WRONG FROM DAY 1. IT JUST KEPT THE TEAM IN LIMBO FOR MANY YEARS. the rebuild should have been underway already

  11. If you can't make the playoffs three straight seasons with Sid the Kid captaining your team, you're a bad head coach.

  12. PenQuins ownership and General manager failures watch attendence and season tickets go south. LOOSERS and other adjectives dont need posted here GOOD LUCK MIKE SID ask for a TRADE🙃🙃🙃🙃🤪😍

  13. David Quinn, Penguin Tank Commander. It worked in San Jose. And New York. GMs are realizing they need to throw their hat into the lottery for McKenna.
