The Wild played calm and cool for most of this game.

  1. Adin Hill: 3.77 GAA .875 Sav percentage
Logan Thompson: 1.47 GAA .951 Sav percentage.

I know they won the cup with Hill but man.

  2. 5:59 even Shannon is noticing ESPN's bias, and he lives in Canada and probably doesn't see their broadcasts much unless they're simulcast in Canada during the playoffs.

ESPN loves big markets, flashy markets, and superstars. Minnesota is flyover (NHL and NBA) that is just in the way of other teams that they push harder.

  3. I haven’t watched any of the playoff national broadcasts for the Avs yet, but the regular season it’s the same way. Whatever team we’re playing against is clearly amazing and the Avs aren’t worthy of their praise, even if they’re up, and that’s both TNT and ESPN broadcasts. It’s so weird when they preach their bias. It’s clear who the broadcast team has money on.

  4. The reason the commentators are so in favor of Vegas is the same reason why Vegas has been the least penalized team in the league for like four years straight.

  5. National commentary on the Wild has been like this since I started watching them in 2013. Until they've won a Cup, it won't change either. The Wild are going to have to be better than their opponents, and better than the refs in order to do that. While NHL Tonight has always said "those fans up there in Minny really deserve a Cup", Bettman disagrees.

  6. It's tough watching games as a Minnesota sports fan. It's even worse watching the wolves play the Lakers and listening to what winning this title means for LeBron

  7. Genuine question as a lifelong Pens fan: is this how yall felt any time during the 2010’s when your team was playing the Penguins? Because this blatant bias towards one team is just frustrating and if it is, I get it. I get why so many people didn’t like the Pens

  8. Thanks for pointing out the national broadcast biased against the Wild. We’ve become so used to it by now as fans, but it’s like this in the regular season as well. For years and years it’s been like this.

  9. As a lifetime MN fan and resident… thank you for pointing out the ridiculously lopsided commentary on national broadcasting…

  10. Thank you for doing these recaps it's great for those of us that just can't watch all the games. and the editorializing is great, in fact i'd like a little more. maybe a little recap at the end?

  11. It's become a real chore to have to watch any ESPN/TBS/TNT hockey broadcast, especially the intermission Cringefests.

  12. Lol, Im a blues fan so I dont have a dog in this. But my buddy was also noticing how much the commentators were slobbering the Knights 😂😂

  13. In a stars fan but I love what Minnesota is doing here! Hate to see all the “national broadcasters” favoring Vegas when the Wild are such a fun team when they finally have a lineup. Feels weird to say this but good luck Wild fans! Go Wild Go!

  14. The league and broadcast have to glaze Vegas because half of all the sponsors for every team in the league are there because of Vegas or owned by Las Vegas in some way. Theyre the perpetual homer team because they bring in the ad rev. Theres a large contingency of the league that has it hard for Canadian teams/ Leafs/Oilers. But when it comes down to payday, its all Vegas and they know it.

  15. Olczyk has been blatantly biased for years, but it's definitely gotten even more obvious with age. Broadcasters are supposed to remain neutral, but he never is. I love listening to Kenny Albert call a game, sometimes I just wish he'd turn to Edzo like "what the heck are you talking about?".

  16. Glazing is the word you are looking for. The commentators are constantly glazing the Golden Knights.

  17. we are used to the national broadcast always cheering for the other team…glad you noticed it too!!

  18. Ya I was watching this game last night and thinking about our Bias with the Announcers discussions lately and I almost threw up in my mouth due to the love the ESPN announcers were giving Vegas. It's disgusting. If I didnt have to PAY for a friggen subscription just to watch these games I would change the channel but alas, i have no other way to watch the games. Stinks…

  19. Two of those last Vegas PP’s at the end of the game were a joke. I think it was called on Foligno on one of them… the Vegas player just skated right by Foligno and flipped because he touched Foligno’s stick.
First two games the reds kept their whistle’s in their pocket for just about everything (for both sides at least)… then in game three they seamed to give into harassment from Vegas bench (or something) and started just calling the dumbest tick Tac crap. I know it’s different refs every game, but just in this game alone it felt like it shifted and the refs were giving “make up” calls or “get you back in the game” calls to Vegas.
And yes the commentary was just horrible, obviously I’m a biased Wild fan though.
I did appreciate Bissonet saying “go to bed, this one’s over” in the second intermission recap lol… I still couldn’t go to bed though.

  20. I think the annocuncers are holding out hope for vegas because thats who they picked to win for the bracket challenge😂

  21. I fully cop to being a fair weather fan so let me ask those who follow the league more closely – Who would you rather have in net, across the whole Stanley Cup playoffs, before Fil Gustavsson?

  22. Did everyone forget how darn good the Wild were before they got hit by the hospital? They were first in the league 30ish games in

  23. LV was not breaking out properly. That why turned over so many times, and could not generate any offense. They remind me of the Caps those years before and right up to winning their first Cup. They all crowded on side in front of the guy who got the puck first. Instead of spreading out and using space. And they were just passing it up along the boards to the nearest teammate instead of cross ice into open ice, and forcing the defense to then switch sides too.

  24. LV looks like they are sleeping against MINN. They need to wake up. They are better team on paper all across the board.

  25. Thank you for calling out the announcers. It has been very annoying to hear how partial the national broadcast has been. They seen like a deer in headlights. I think they planned their game and series for Vegas talking points. My guess is that they got lazy at their job or there are financial advantages to talking up Nevada over Minnesota.
