I turned the tv off after the Wilson hit…with all the bs Montreal penalties and then that hit I had enough… It could have been a good game if the refs didn't reck it once again.
You say that montreal wasn't ready to compete this year, and that that the physicality was too much for them. But if you really watched the games, you would know that it couldve be the complete other way around. Its a really close matchup, way closer than everyone thought, and if washington are having this much trouble against montreal, imagine against the canes or the panthers. Its a shame for the #2 team in the league.
Willson gave him a heads up by yelling at him. He mentioned earlier in the season on an after hours interview that he has started warning guys if he thinks they dont see him when hes going in on a big hit. You can hear him in the game giving him a shout. Hit could have been much worse if wilson wanted it to be.
"Washington is only 7-5 when leading a series 3-1", as a Caps fan, why you have to remind me š I did the math a few seasons ago, the Caps own like 20+% of all the blown 3-1 series leads in NHL history. also, Caps were up 3-1 in 2010 vs the 8th seeded Habs….
Wilson is a coward he always attacks players who he outweighs by 20 pounds the hit was late and a charge could have been called he better keep his head up next game maybe in the warmup we could see an for the cowardly hit the refs sucked ov hit was also a headshot
Having watched my Leafs royally suck for so long before the Matthews era (and arguably still be a joke since), it would definitely be gravy for Habs fans to be in the dance this year; that said, up until that hit this series was really fun to watch and they were giving Ovi/Wash a really good run. Hopefully they can put together a good road game-plan and create some more havoc in Game 5.
The amount of crap wilson has gotten away with is honestly astounding. Dude literally trips people, grabs their stick and yeets it across the ice and NOTHING, but a habs player even grazes him and they get a penalty.. The refs honestly have been favored as hell in this series towards the caps letting them get away with virtually everything while punishing the habs for virtually nothing. Not a habs fan but man the refs in this game have been incredibly favored for the caps and let them get away with EVERYTHING. So many times wilson ALONE shouldve been ejected.
the habs are done, so for the love of god please put arber xhekaj in the roster for the next game and have him beat the wheels of Tom Wilson for the rest of league
Caps fan here- I have so much respect for how hard Montreal has fought – never giving up for a moment. (And I donāt count them out) But the fans! I muted the games because I couldnāt handle the noise. I have never seen fans like that. You all are amazing ā¤

It sucks that itās come down to that but the amount of stuff that Washington gets away with that the Habs donāt is crazy for a playoff series. Nonetheless the point stands that the Tom Wilson changed that game
