  1. Just wanted to first say I really appreciate your breakdown. Not sure if done on purpose but just in case the habs goaler name is pronounce Dobesh.

  2. I saw a picture of the hit, on Carrier, Wilson does end up making contact with his head. It probably should have been a boarding call.
Refs called weak crap in the 1st, then nothing of the same kind in the third.

  3. Remember what the Lightning did after they got swept by Colombus? They made trades, got heavier and dominated. Hugues saw what we all saw and got to adjust and give more grit to the Habs.
I doubt we'll see a game 6, but I'm happy anyways since we are playing with house money.

    Cheers! 🙂

  4. I'm getting tired of the Caps throwing (seemingly) dirty hits on our guys, but as soon as we voice our concerns about the inconsistent reffing, we're called "whiners". Now, they're even using that stupid clip of Wilson fake crying to disparage us. Other than that, I expected this series to be over by now, given the way people talk about the Habs being too small or unfit for playoff hockey. And if that's the case, then how did the Habs win Game 3? Regardless of the outcome, we'll use this series as a learning experience and come back stronger next season.

  5. Habs lost, but won. Demidov had 2 points tonight. Habs powerplay looked next level, and short-handed they were also very solid. On 5v5 I know that Habs can outplay the Caps. One game at the time 🙂

  6. Refs need to be held accountable of the things they do not see or might I add choose not to at this point. I'd really be looking into a fine for refs who clearly see the play and make no call accordingly. Intentional head shots can't keep happening in the league anymore doesn't matter who's making the hit or not.

  7. The Habs issues have nothing to do with their youth/experience. The Habs will have the same issues over the next 10 years if they hypothetically cut the same roster and let everyone agent and progress on the roster. The issue is playoff hockey and middle of regular season hockey are very different sports. The physicality level is not even close to the same.

The tallest player on the Habs is their 6’3 goalie. The capitals top 5 point scorers averaged a height of 6’4. The Habs top 5 point scorers averaged a height of 5’10 in the regular season with only the 1 tallest player a) being over 6 feet tall and b) matching the height as the shortest top 5 point capitals player, but being 15 pounds lighter. No wonder the entire Montreal team is either injured or fatigued.

  8. It has nothing to do with veterans versus youth, it has everything to do with playoff hockey being infinitely more physical than the regular season. The tallest player on Montreal is their goalie.

  9. Can we at least all agree that NHL referees are somehow the best at being referees for the sport they play at compared to any other major sport

  10. I don't want caps any further in the playoffs. Ovi has to be sent to the retirement early. There's no fun at all in any aspect of caps' game. I want Hutson, I want Caufield, I want Demidov.

  11. The Habs is going to be dangerous on that PP1 with the addition of Demidov in the lineup. If the Caps were to eliminate the Habs next game. If worse comes to worst, at least they get the 16th and 17th pick at the 2025 draft. They just need to find that second line center to play with Demidov.

  12. Montreal are going to be dangerous in upcoming years. I cheer for caps but would not count Montreal out of it yet!

  13. One team wasn’t allowed to push and one was allowed to headhunt.

This was a perfect execution of the refs tipping the scale.

  14. Wilson used to launch himself into players, leaping into them. He nroke a guys jaw in 2018 run and was suspended. You can see he knows so he doesnt jump and he aims for shoulder. If Carrier had seen it and ducked, penalty for sure. MTL has hige future. So much young talent. Just need some size.

  15. If they play like this, they will beat capitals, because the hockey sport without help of the referees is on the Montreal Canadiens side, Washington goals was lucky, Montreal Canadiens can stand 3 on 5 powerplay, the powers of capitals with that old team starting draining off, you will see in 5th game what the Montreal Canadiens with this youngsters are about 😉

  16. Yeah, the refs are doing such a good job to keep the cup in the U,S.! I mean, they only have 25 chances to our 7 in Canada…..Buttman is such an honorable guy……🐀🦨🐀

  17. My opinion is, there have been missed calls equally on both sides. The only reason habs are complaining is because they’re down 3-1

  18. The Caps dominated possession again. The Habs have the much better PP but they couldn’t even muster 20 shots and are complaining about officiating. Montreal goalie coach and players have basically admitted Wilson is in their heads. You just have to play. They weren’t complaining last game when the PP was 6 to 2. Montreal has decided to play Xhekaj and he was terrible. Look at his and Ghule numbers they were slaughtered. He was out of position on the goal. It has been a totally winnable series for Montreal but they can’t make the plays you need to win a series.

  19. Habs don’t need to embellish and the refs “on their side” with brutal / blown calls to be in this series.

  20. Aside from refs helping the Caps at every turn the Caps have a long history of losing playoff series when up 2 games during their 50 years in the NHL. They win 28% of those series.
In the history of the league a team down 3-1 in games it's happened 28 times, the Caps have 5 of them, these were teams who lost the series.

I expect Mtl to come out on fire next game and over run the Caps like Friday…..they have nothing to lose.

Montreal will have over 40 hits and head hunt Thompson with their shots. They didn't test him last game.

They'll be back in Montreal for a 6th game

  21. 4:30 the game doesnt grow because The Media doesnt want it to. I'm brand new to hockey (1 week) and loving it. NFL is just as bad (or worse) than NHL when it comes to non-calls or 'soft calls'. Hockey is an amazing sport, super fun to watch, and has more action than the NFL. However I feel The Media doesnt want to embrace hockey. Again, I am brand new to this sport and not holding onto any sentimental feelings or biases.
