  1. If he stays down on the ice the whistle blows and the Caps don't tie the game and then win it and the series might be two games all.

  2. In NHL hockey, Rule 42 defines charging. It's a penalty, potentially minor or major, given to a player who skates, jumps into, or charges an opponent violently, especially when using excessive distance and speed to deliver a hit. The severity of the penalty can be determined by the officials and may include a major penalty and game misconduct, or even a suspension if the charging results in an injury.

  3. Hey I’m a professional hockey player with the puck coming through the nuetral zone in a playoff game with my head down……
la te da de dum. No worries at all here……

  4. Wilson turned down the invitation. Of course he did, his team had an ozone chance. I mean he woulda turned it down anyway but this time he had an excuse.

  5. What a dirty hit to the head! Should have been a major and a suspension. Instead, it led to a goal that turned the game.

  6. Wilson bent down while leaning forward, intending to hit Carrier LOWER.
Carrier lowered his head to play the puck and dropped his chin.
IF there was impact to the head (YT plays in 0.25x if you want slow motion) it's because CARRIER allowed it to happen.
Wilson went for the puck, not charging.
Carrier dropped his chin to play the puck, not roughing or attempt to injure.
Wilson doesn't leave his feet, which means there's no interference.
Canadiens fans can be upset about the loss, they don't have to like the hit.
But we've seen Canadiens players over the years deliver equally bruising hits to NO consequence, so don't let your biases cloud your judgment now.

  7. Definitely a charge—ran at him from halfway across the rink and left his feet. Anderson shouldn’t have just offered to fight, should’ve gone right after him. Either him or Xekhaj definitely need to deck him in game 5. Can’t let a guy get away with a run like that.
