Why F1 keeps rejecting Mick Schumacher

Why F1 keeps rejecting Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher has clung onto F1 by his fingertips since being dropped by Haas at the end of 2022.

But his role as Mercedes reserve driver and flirtations with landing a race seat with another team have so far come to nought – so after almost two years out and multiple rejections, does that mean it’s all over for him in F1?

Our latest video explores that question and plenty more.

  1. He kept getting rejected because, unfortunately, he wasn't quite good enough. If he had been as talented as his father, every team would have wanted to sign him. He just isn't. That's not to say he's no good at all, just that he isn't quite good enough to be really competitive at the very highest level of motorsport. Neither was Bruno Senna or Nelson Piquet Junior.

  2. So many of us had high hopes for Mick, but in the end, he drove more like Corinna than like Michael … I don’t ever look for him to return to F1.

  3. Because im gonna let you all know a little secret that might annoy some people, he isn't good enough, he never has been, he cheesed his way to an f2 title that if the mechachrome engine wasn't shit would've been won by schwartzman or illott, he's not a bad driver, he's actually quite good on his own merit, just not good ENOUGH for f1

  4. Let's not pretend he got this far purely because of merit. I feel half the reason he is still around the paddock is because of his last name.

  5. If he was a great driver, he’d have a seat already, obviously he’s nothing special, except maybe to his mum and Uncle.

  6. Indycar!!!
Erickson just proved that having a bad F1 career doesn’t mean you can go and win big races somewhere else.
For a Schumacher to win the Indy500 would be absolutely special.
Although bro probably doesn’t wanna crash in that race😅

  7. Cuse he sucks… People think just cuz you're the son of an F1 champion then you're going to be a champion that's not true Dale Junior was really good but he wasn't as good as his father and Kyle Petty s*** he couldn't even begin to get on the grid let alone be as good as his father

  8. Honestly this exactly proves when Lewis Hamilton said if he had a kid he wouldn’t want him to race. Because the kid would constantly be in Lewis’s shadow and compared to him. And ultimately he’d want his kid to be his own person.

  9. Not good enough and accident prone seems like. When you crash three times like that its no surprise he isn't getting a seat.

  10. Without the name, would he have ever had a seat?
I don't think so. If mum wants him to race, she'll need to pony up a few mill to go along with that name.

  11. Man, he is not good enough. Otherwise, everyone would be fighting for him. He can be the best human being ever, but the level on the current grid, but Stroll, is super high

  12. Steiner was the reason he’s out, dude had talent and Steiner messed up his development. So glad that clown is outta f1
