They exchanged punches, but the situation escalated when Chatfield executed a takedown maneuver. Video footage shows Chatfield spinning McMichael around, using his leg to trip or sweep McMichael’s legs from behind, and then forcefully throwing him to the ice. McMichael, who had lost his helmet earlier in the scuffle, landed hard, narrowly avoiding a more severe impact to his head.

Unacceptable and against the NHL code ! A leg reap on the ice? Should have a heavy suspension 5 games at least. But NHL Player Safety(lol) is a complete joke. They are an embarrassment! Chattfield lost his temper, but should know better!
