People arguing this is weak are ignorant of the rules or huge Sens homers. An type of contact straight to the numbers propelling an opponent into the boards is called everytime at every level. Why do you think that minor hockey sewed stop signs above the numbers of kids jerseys?
It was top hand glove on hip, not stick to hip or lower hand on hip, it was a top hand shove not a crosscheck. His stick never makes contact, nor does his bottom hand.
Is it a penalty, most of the time, but to put a team down 5 on 3 in a game where you've already called a soft one on Stützle for "boarding" when he slowed up and hardly hit Tanev (who cought himself with his gloves on the boards and never actually made body contact with the boards) Boarding entails a certain amount of viciousness that just wasn't there on that play.
