You can not go with a goalie 0-2 and take out the goalie that won.
That would make no sense that would be like L.A. challenging for goalie interference when there was none, it just doesn't make sense

He played a good game and I have noticed that the players play a harder and better game when Pickard is in goal as opposed to Skinner.

I have cautious optimism the Oilers will keep game four of their conference quarterfinal close if not win that game outright. That said, giving up four or more goals is so often a recipe for disaster that I wonât be surprised if, unlike with game three, the Oilers lose game four if they give up at least four goals.
So has everyone forgot that siv was sub .800 in the first two rounds of last years playoffs. Who cares if he has faith in oilers why the hell wouldnt he. He would not be a starter on any other team in league. This bs with this guy is beyond mind boggling đ

Another point is that the team just genuinely seems to play better with Pickard in net. They play more confidently knowing that he can actually make a big save every now and then to swing the momentum. I know skinner usually bounces back after bad games, and he does have very good stats from games 4-7 from last yearâs run. And you canât really blame him on most of the goals as it was more on defence. But what happened to if it ainât broke donât fix it? Even with the bad goal or two Pickard gave up, he was still miles better than skinner. Why risk being eliminated just to play the guy who was supposed to be your âstarterâ on paper? If Stu starts I hope he can turn it around, but I will be shitting bricks every time the puck is in our zone
FIRE THE GOALIE COACH
I would go with Pickard for G4. Took him a while to get warmed up via goals he might have wanted back in period's 1-2. By period 3 Pickard was making key saves in timely moments. Which gave the Oilers a boost in confidence with a 4 spot. Skinner needs to come out of his shell and start challenging shooters. His deep net game was alright but player's adapted and exposed his game. Lol mind you when Skinner gets hot he's one of the best but those are a rare sight nowadays lol. Anyways Oilers r gonna tie the series 2night
What about the organisation "LOSING FAITH" in Calvin Pickard?….What a slap in the face that would be to Calvin!!!…HE HAS EARNED HIS SHOT!!!….Skinner had 8 games off for his …"RESET"…. right before the playoffs. And he did not look good in games 1 AND 2….Take a seat Stu….Enough with the dramatic arrogant pre-game Hair Flip. Chop that mop, it's in your eyes. Shave that Moustache it's affecting your breathing. Less Fashion Show Commercials, and more saves.
Skinner is terrible and has never shown any consistency in net…terrible and slow lateral movement.
They got the confidence with Pickard. But who knows. Maybe they only need to score 1 or 2 goals in game four and actually win. First three games saw a lot of scoring. Maybe too much. Expect a defensive game in game four, Edmonton's forte!
