This is just a much weaker uglier luckier version of the behind the back to the guy trailing towards the net play Kane has done a bunch of times. One that proper defense in front of the net should easily have stopped. The Kane ones were unstoppable, the puck didn't sit there waiting, it is supposed to go right to the guy. Between this and Marner the other night it's been funny seeing guys get overpraised for sub versions of basic Kane passing plays.
