Carolina Hurricanes blaze New Jersey Devils in Stanley Cup Playoff opener



The Carolina Hurricanes have…risen up…for their Stanley Cup Playoffs opener on Easter Sunday. The methodical takedown of the New Jersey Devils in Game 1 featured two goals from Logan Stankoven and a strong penalty kill. Freddie Anderson had 23 saves on 24 shots.

  1. Devils are decimated by injury, were playing with four D-men at one point, and we pumped almost 50 shots on them. Devils pushed in the third and we kinda sat back I felt. Could have turned into a classic Canes experience with the shot disparity, but glad it didn’t. Gotta keep pushing when we have the lead going forward.
