I feel like the biggest gap in the powerplay without Monahan is just experience. Without him the young guys look like they are making things up as they go without the ability to read the defense or eachother well. Monahan as the bumper takes a lot of that big picture thinking out of their hands and lets them focus on their own interactions. My hope would be over the summer they can get some good lessons in so we wont be completely reliant on one guy to drive it.
