I kept hearing this kinda talk about the Oilers last year and then they beat my Canucks.
I said that at the beginning of this year, they were a far worse team. Defensively, they’re not close to what they were last year. Losing Broberg, Ceci, and McLeod for no replacements on defense, keeping Skinner, and adding Skinner and Arvidsson who are defensive liabilities were all just moves that didn’t need to happen.
Wait frank. Are you comparing ekholm to heskinan? If skinner has game 7 experience I wouldn't say he is the reason they are losing…. they also got the all great Jake wallman so I think we have to say LA is well prepared taking on the oilers this year… gotta give credit where credit is due…
Call it a hot take but I said it even last year. Conner McDavid will never win a cup….watching him showboat the game tieing goal in game 1 just shows he lacks that championship pedigree… it's okay to celebrate and all but their is a line… McDavids ego is holding him back… most talent sure. Most skilled sure.but that's not what gunna help u lift the cup…
Dallas is winning games because of team effort. Edmonton souly depends on McDavid and Leon. Never going to win like that.

McDavid testing a free agency next year
As an Oilers fan, I am sad to say that this team now lacks the speed it once had. Previous year we had the same goaltending, but the offensive speed and aggression made up for it by out scoring our opponents. The Oilers looking like an even softer team this year than last year.
Jeff Jackson and Stan Bowman have to be fired. This is inexcusable and embarrassing. These clowns gutted a championship team. Gutted it from its core ans left our 2 megastars all by themselves on an island
We’re done. Hopefully changes are made in the offseason (starting in net), the boys get a long summer to heal up, and we somehow still convince Connor to re-sign in the meantime.
Oilers haven't had good enough goaltending for years. Fans will deny it though.
McDavid carried them last year, superstars like McDavid and MacKinnon make teams look better than they actually are.
