I've watched a lot of hockey but back in 1993 Islanders Pierre Turgeon After scoring a goal to put the Islanders up 5-1 during game six at Nassau Coliseum, Turgeon was checked from behind by Dale Hunter Of the Capitals as he celebrated his goal. Turgeon suffered a Separated shoulder and missed the first six games of the Ensuing series against the Pittsburg Penguins. Dale Hunter Received a 21 game suspension.
No question it was a penalty. I don’t see the Panthers losing their focus in order to get revenge…………until next season. The Cup is the priority, but it if Hagel sets himself up, that’s playoff hockey.
It's dirty hitting a player who is hidden behind a teammate like that imo, but most people disagreed with me on that in the past. However, the hit was a little late but not egregiously. If you set bias to the side, you realize it happens basically every single game. I think thats a 1 game suspension as someone who doesn't give a flying fuck about either of these teams.
However, you can bet your ass the panthers will be out for revenge, and I wouldn't expect the refs to jump in too quickly.
I HATE both of these teams EQUALLY, with extra hate for Matt Tfu@k. But that was typical Tampon Bay dirty play and was DEFINITLEY deserving of a 5 minuet penalty. My greatest hope is that both these teams beat the ever loving crap out of each other so neither will get past the next round. No really bad or permanent injuries wished of course.
