What are your thoguhts on the letter from ownership?
If these guys come back healthy and good attitudes like Zadorov has, add some REAL pieces to the top lines, we should be able to forget what happened this year.
This channel was one of the few bright spots of the campaign. Was this your inaugural season?
Dude if youve watched the bruins for over a decade you know the jacobs are notoriously cheap. Not to mention the bruins frequently make bad trades. Joe thorton for nothing, tyler seguin for nothing, linus ullmark for nothing.
They need to trade Korpisalo or start him. Heās too good to be #2 and heāll never be able to prove his worth with the current team in front of him.
Jacobs family are disillusioned with Sweeney & Neely. The management level made more bad decisions than good ones. Cassidy was a good coach. He wasnt the problem. They needed a scape goat. Montgomery was negotiating a long term deal with another team while coaching Bruints. Good riddance. The team could have easily had at a certain point Jake Guentzel , Kyle Connor for not much. How could the Bruins lose Jake deBrusk and get nothing for him ? Korpisalo should be released. He is unhappy and could play more games elsewhere. There are good goalies in Providence. Bruins have some cap space so they could sign an impact player. Towards the end Elias Lindholm had good points together with Pasta and Geekie. As for the upcoming Junior draft I see Jake O'brien or Porter Martone with Boston. But they will probably select James Hagens because he plays Boston College. The real deal is Michael Misa.
Winning cures everything usually but I feel there's a competition and korpo doesn't want to be a back up he needs to understand that ….Linus had mutual respect for each other and I feel korpo needs to be traded away because Swayman is the number #1..so he better get use to being a backup or trade him!!
I know Iāve posted similar comments on your videos before, but in a year during which it was truly tough to watch the Bruins, one bright spot was the evolution of Zadorov over the course of the season. Once he settled into his role about halfway through, he was playing pretty well, and he really stepped up and took on more of a leadership role after the deadline. Excited to see how he looks in year 2. Lindholm too, they both finished the year strong.
Also, I was listening to Ty Anderson on the Hockey Show today and they said that David Pastrnak factored in on like 47% of the Bruinsā total goals this year. š¤Æ
I think Korpisalo has a right to feel that way. I thought he deserved more games for sure, especially when Swayman was often mediocre. Why pay a back up $4MM to play so few games. The team sent him a strong message that they don't have much faith in him by playing him so infrequently.
McAvoy sounds like he feels a little betrayed during the 4 nations. By who I don't know. It clearly hurt him more than just his shoulder, I hope he is getting the care he needs, both physically and mentally. Go Bs!!!
Do you think after the trade deadline that Passat turned his game up dramatically? Could Marchand have been an issue in the locker room? Especially when there was that rumor that Pasta and Marchand had differences?
Great analysis..
Korpisalo is done with the B's.
A couple months ago he responded to a reporter basically inquiring why they left Sawyman out to dry on a high goal game.
I'm thinking it also has to do with watching his tandem partner hung out to dry when Joonas was ready to go in.
We scratched our heads about that.
Imagine what he was thinking?
I don't think it has to do with having more faith in Sway when they're down
4 – 0
2 minutes into the second period.
I think they were trying to teach Jeremy a lesson this season.
Joonas watched.
(My brain keeps wondering what happened at arbitration 2 years ago)
I'm starting to think, after Christmas- the plan was to tank all along.
Zadorov's interview is interesting.
Yes, something clicked..I believe that has something to do with Chara coming in at the end of January.
Pasta played with Chara, he's part of the "leadership"
I'm still worried about Hampus.
This is the Pastrnak I heard a few summers ago in a translated interview from Czechoslovakia
Dead serious.
Was not joking around.
I think it was in response to the 2019 fail
And he did say something along the lines that he "didn't come to North America to go to Disney World"
Great stuff Court.
"Wasting Pasta's Years"
We need to get back to playoffs!
No Ray Bourque trades!
I agree w everything you said Court. This offseason is extremely important for the team. I dont have any faith in our dynamic duo mngmnt to get this job done. From off the board picks to lousy free agents brouui0
Pasta for President
Korpisalo should be pissed!!
Hopefully they don't hire Tortorella. That guy tries to turn Ferarri's into Jeeps. Everyone is a Jeep.
Jacobs is delusional. Fans are upset with Sweeny and Neely because their drafting in generally poor – they've whiffed on guys while other teams picking AFTER them grabbed legit talent. Their FA signings (and not signed) has been questionable at best. His saying he 'can't wrap his head around' their criticism is his way of saying they're keeping their jobs. Two coaches canned – both are now coaching playoff teams. DeBrusk is leading Vancouver in scoring….Vatrano scoring big on other teams…Swayman is 5th highest paid G in hockey and is no better (arguably worse) than his backup.
Korpisalo SHOULD have played more BECAUSE Swayman was at times playing very poorly. When that happens – in any sport – it's not uncommon at all to sit a guy to light a fire under him, but that didn't happen. They kept Swayman in and he was the same average to below average goalie all season…
Hereās my take on korpisalo, out of the 11 seasons heās been in the league 5 of the seasons he he was over a .900 sv% out of the 5, 2 of those seasons he played over 30 games coming in between 30 and 37 games heās consistently at a .800 sv%. Sway struggled this year yes but based on stats I can see why they only played korpisalo as much as they did, not saying I agree with leaving sway in with a 7-2 losing game or playing sway 5 games in a roll when he is obviously struggling that should have never happened. But based on the stats sway until this year was the more consistent goalie. I sway does come back better next year but the bruins need a back up that they can rely on and I donāt think korpisalo is that person.
FIRE SWEENEY
zero accountabiiity from the top down Charlie is a coward and should look at himself beyond the loyalty. loyalty and cowardess are two different things. "REBUILD" retool is a poor mans excuse for job security. President, GM , Coaching Staff, Scouting Staff etc. NEW Playing system there are a few options to look at. if they want to maintain the "FAN standards and Expectations they need t oactually have conversations with the group as a whole. Ownership was presenting a media friendly narrative to keep ticket sale moving forward. In my opinion it fell short.
Sweeney has to go
Heās not a good gm
but ownership is completely blind
Be a dream to get rid of Neely too but iād settle for Sweeney
Itās gonna be a very interesting summer for the Bruins players. Most are in uncharted waters with not making the playoffs and really being one of the worst teams in the league. A new leadership team will be established and has an exciting opportunity before them. MacAvoy said they had to establish their pillars, which is correct, because they havenāt had to really fill a tough leadership role until now.
This will be the most exciting off season in my 32 years as a Bruins diehard. I like this situation at this time of the year. I don't want another 1st or 2nd round loss. I'm tired of it. We have 1 cup in my entire lifetime. Every other season has ended either with the playoff's missed or with an early playoff exit in series they should have won, or throwing away a stunning playoff run by losing out of making the cup at the hands of stupid mistakes.
I love Zadorov at this point, and everything came full circle in my mind as this video concluded. Listen to what Zadorov said… he's on the same page as the true Bruins fans who understand hockey the most. The core of this team all went through hell this year, and they all have something to prove. The young players will also have something to prove.
If Zadorov wears a C on his sweater next year, I am 1000% behind that. It's clear that he functions far better in a position of leadership and responsibility, and he needs to be the captain. Keep an A on McAvoy and Pasta. We don't want Pasta as the captain. We want him focused on scoring, not leading the team. Zadorov is clearly the leader of this team. When Pasta speaks he dances around the facts and struggles to find words, because he is afraid to offend. In contrast, Zadorov speaks from an analytical, no BS perspective. It doesn't matter how good the players are, if there is no defined leader, there is nobody to steer the ship through rough waters and challenging moments. Pastrnak is not that person at this time.
Zadorov also mentioned Swayman as one of the best goalies in the world, and that he doesn't want Pasta to waste his best years. This is how a leader speaks. When I studied in my industry, I was taught how to be a leader and how to spot a leader. Out of everyone that spoke, Zadorov is the clear leader. If this was a job interview for a high level management position in my industry, Zadorov would have the job. McAvoy and Lindholm are both in poor mental states. Pasta is too worried to offend. E. Lindholm needs to worry about himself before trying to lead a team. As you go down the list of candidates, Zadorov has to be the guy. Any other choice is a reflection of poor judgement from management, which won't surprise me with Sweeney and company, as they exhibit poor leadership and management.
With Geekie and Pasta together now, good things are to come from the top line, and if they put an all star center between them, we are going to have a savage first line. Swayman is going to come back needing to prove his worth, with no drama bullshit this year. If Sweeney and Neely handle our picks well, and sign a true 1C, and a couple wingers for the second line with Lindholm, this is a serious team. If Swayman is on his game, combined with a strong return of McAvoy and Lindholm, along with Zadorov and the other solid defensive options we have, this team is going to shut down the opponents offense.
We have the potential to be the top defense in the league with the pieces we ALREADY have! If they step up and we can focus our assets on offense…. holy shit this team would be good. We know from the past that good defense and goaltending will wear down the opponent. Tim Thomas carried the team and drove the opponents crazy. When superstar players can't score on you, it destroys their confidence. We saw that in 22-23 when we had only 12 regulation losses and shattered records.
Anyway, cheers to another season down, as horrible as it was, but you can't win 'em all. We can sit back with no reservations now to watch the playoff's this year – and what a playoff run this year will be. The competition is crazy! It was the hardest bracket prediction I've made in a long time, but I put Tampa Bay vs Los Angeles this year for the finals, with Tampa winning the cup in 6.
Your channel is a lot better than Bruins Digest. Kirk Day annoys way too much with the clickbait title and stupid topics..
If the Bruins want to be better next season best thing to do is fire Sweeney and Neely now facts idk why they don't want to and I think Jacobs should go to since buying the Bruins they only had 1 cupo in 50 years like really come on team should have more then that think the team would benifit from an owner change same with the Patriots too.
Iām not happy either we lost ullmark for this turd
Korpisalo wasn't that good. He and swayman had so many awful games, so if they're unhappy, that's on them. Maybe time to bring up DiPietro.
Great video. I think zadorov is worthy of an A. Go bruins!
Teams garbage and will be
Nice to see Americans finally realizing what we have known for eons how great our Canadian hockey is! Hockey is the most exciting fast paced game there is. For a team sport hockey has it all! Keep your football and NASCAR,baseball and basketball played by Giants who are as tall as the net! Sports are for kids!! But hockey is a adults game!
Boston isn't going anywhere soon.
