  1. Don't agree. Carolina does not like Montreal (Aho/KK offer sheet) they would love to eliminate the Habs. However, they played well and deserved the opportunity to rest their top players before the playoffs. Montreal still had to go out and win and also put themselves in a position to do that. Columbus should have picked up points earlier than waiting until last game. This is what happens. Next year someone else will miss out.

  2. Maybe win more. Why would Carolina care at all about playing at full strength for nothing but CBJ’s playoff hopes.

Carolina was locked in to their playoffs and rested players.

  3. They should just thank Laine for actually lighting a fire up their asses that pushed them to actually do something this season. Because before Laine told them how it was, they were no where close to what they became. Turns out when you actually want to win a game, you may just be able to instead of being satisfied with mediocrity. Props to the CBJs for their success this season but they also proved Laine's point. Hopefully they continue on this road and don't fall back into their loser mentality.

  4. I was shocked that Caps gave 4 points to columbus in back to back games outscored 11 to 1. That seemed off too.

  5. Misguided news from an old decrepit source looking to cause some conspiracy. Nothing more. Move on.

  6. Let them whine. It's like Larkin laying blame his club didn't make the playoffs because Yzerman didn't swing a trade to bring in a savior on a white horse.

  7. Mtl vs BJ this season….Mtl 6 points out of 8, BJ 3 points out of 8. The difference is there and not at the end of the season. Win when it is time to win a stop whining about it. Everybody knows that coaches can bench players to rest them prior to playoffs. I sincerely dout Car did Mtl a favor.

  8. Colombus still isnt used to how things work in the league. Most teams who make the playoffs sit their top players to rest them for the playoffs. Its been going on for decades.

  9. CBJ really turned it around when Monahan returned, its really too bad I was rooting for them to make it

  10. they had 82 games to get 2 extra points. both games against washington last week week were against a reduced lineup. kick rocks colombus

  11. Why is there always some sort of emotional/moral drama connected to the CBJ…? 😀 Glad Patrik got away from there. 🙂

  12. Fact that you don’t mention the Capitals basically giving Away 2 GAMES TO THE BLUE JACKETS over the previous weekend. We stay quiet on this eh. Let’s keep the same energy for all the instances NOT ONLY THE ONES THAT BENEFIT the Habs!

  13. well, maybe they could look back at sched, pick out a few games they lost that they should have won, and blame those instead.

    John 3:16-18
    King James Version

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
