Does this Maple Leafs’ team feel different than in year’s past?

TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss what ways this Maple Leafs team is different than in year’s past, why Matthew Knies has been an under-the-radar X-factor for Toronto, and if it’s been tough for the Senators to get up to the intensity of the playoffs after a long rebuild.

  1. Dom not having a 2 to 0 lead for a long time is not that shocking because most of the time we’ve been playing two versus three.

  3. The Leaf are the best they have been in years, obviously. Like any pro sport championship, the Stanley Cup is tough to win. 16 teams don't even make the playoffs. The fact that the Leafs have been a contender for years and now have finished 1st this year, in what is arguably the best division in the league, says a lot. Haters are always gonna hate but when the celebration is on, they will be a drunk as the rest of us hardcore faithful, suddenly becoming superfans…. lol

  4. So they have beaten a 7-seed 2x. Thats fine. As long as they can do it 4x.
The real test will be do see if they an do it in 4 games, or 7 games.

Then, lets have these silly ' the teams different' discussions in the 2nd Round.

  5. Come on. The sens are not a good barometer. Had a solid year but don’t have the goods. Wait til you play Tampa or Florida. The overtime goal was weak defense. Domi gets hit twice in a sequence like that. It wouldn’t even be in OT vs a team with the goods.

  6. Facing playoff adversity will tell us what they’re made of. Two games tells us nothing.

  7. If sleepytime portions of periods continues Chief will have his work cut out. Coach is still moulding this group. Brad did what he could, now Chief gotta drive this train. They do look different this year for sure. Oh, and you gotta be protecting your goalies. Punishment w No Mercy!
