Bad game reminded me of last year
Nate Schmidt on pace for 32 goals this playoffs! Lol, jokes aside expecting a big response from Tampa in game 2, also dont think either team is scoring 6 or more goals on these goaltenders again this series, both are huge playoff performers. Really liked to see Barkov line starting to do what they did last year to every team, shut down oppositions top players while remaining dangerous in the offensive zone. Go cats go!
Some thoughts on calls:
– I dont think you ever challenge that for goaltender interference imo but then again im a hockey fan and not a professional on the sport.
– Lilleberg penalty was correct, cant do it like that right in front of a ref
– Cernak penalty was soft call imo
The Panthers haven’t played together since February. They have rested half their team and finished the season with a AHL roster. So it’s hard to predict what they were gonna be like.
Not surprised Florida looked like a championship team last night.

Panthers were fast and physical. All the panthers need to do is dominate Koochie-roff and the series is in the bag.
Tampa was nervous from the beginning. It showed big time. Hopefully, there are no more blowouts and the serie gets better!!

As a Panther fan – that was not the bolts im used to seeing. I expect a big bounce back game 2 and Vassy playing out of his mind the rest of the way. I have Cats in 6. If it goes to 7 Bolts win and they will make it to the finals. That said still a very exciting series cant wait for game 2
Florida hockey teams are the best
As a Panthers fan, I'm over the moon with this win, but…….. this is going to be a tough series. Lightning ARE TOO DAMN GOOD to think otherwise
