what I wonder, is if Stamkos was aware of changes that should be made to adjust for players, did he voice his opinion to the coach and adjustments weren't made? with all the frustration of the season, I'm sure he voiced his opinion.
It doesn’t take much common sense to realize that Tampa has been a significantly better team than Nashville over the past handful of years. They are serious contenders currently. If Stamkos desperately wanted to win like he claims, then he would have taken their offer. He wanted to get the bag first and foremost.
This team is too good for a full rebuild. If next season falls off the rails (again), then revisit it, but until then… let’s compete!
Stamkos may have earned the right to be picky in Tampa, and if he wanted to be picky then he should have stayed in Tampa, but Stamkos hasn't earned a dang thing here, including his paycheck, never mind the right to be picky about where we're going as a team or what his role in that will be!
I can't believe that we're still talking about "winning" with this joke of roster! I'm gonna be livid if we throw away any of the draft picks, which we desperately need, to try to patch up this mess!
"trotz wants to do right by his players"??? Rings pretty hollow after the way he stabbed Duchene in the back! He was a guy who DID earn the right to be here and be treated fairly! None of the new guys have.
