Sidney Crosby wasn’t just graced by god with his talents…he’s worked EVERY DAY for it.

  1. This is true. The league has seen "natural talents" come and go. Often times they flash then fizzle because they're lazy as shit. Kyle Wellwood is a perfect example. Hands of the gods, didn't do shit with it. The one thing across all sports that GOATs have in common, is hard fucking work. It's gotta be what they wake up thinking about, every day. Sid's one of those guys. Part of why his game has aged well too… he's still a beast in the gym.

  2. i worked with a kid that grew up with crosby. He said that after a long hockey tournament most kids were tired and flaked out.Crosby would go home and practice shooting pucks for hours, when everyone else was chilling.

  3. That’s what makes Sid arguably the 3rd best hockey player of all time. But look at that list, I bet all of them had that work ethic. Sure, some were blessed, but they also trained and practiced harder than anyone.

  4. Fuck that. You know how many others “work” from a child to late teens just to realize they don’t have that intangible that separates the elites from the rest? Every single NHL’r is a genetic outlier. Otherwise, you’re tolling it out for pennies in the minors at best.

  5. And this is why I wannabe jocks shouldn't be reporters. You don't get it. You sit on your phat arses drinking beer, eating hot dogs pretending you know Sports.

  6. He got pissed at you for not performing to your best. Best player on the team is your hardest worker. Work harder. Stop bitching.

  7. No matter how talented you are, you will never succeed if you don’t put in the effort. It’s disrespectful to ever even insinuate that Crosby and many other athletes just “have it”.

  8. Different sport, yes I know, but Kobe Bryant is a great comparison to Sid. Both extremely talented, but they WORKED hard. I’ve heard all kinds of stories about Kobe being up at 5am to workout on the court and be there all day and he’s pushing guys to rise to his level. Talent takes work to maintain.

  9. John daily is a perfect example of natural talent that never reached its top potential, he could have been something closer to tiger if he practiced

  10. You ever see his early videos before he got drafted? He was a f&cking demon on the puck! He's gifted yeah but he plays the game with a 4th liners energy and heart. Legendary skill, grinders mentality.

  11. Sid is the hardest working player ever. He will break the record this year averaging a point per game for 20 straight season passing only Gretzky. It pisses me off the NHL doesn’t even talk about this and all we talk about is Ovi the one trick pony breaking the goal record. He is far behind Sid in points. Sid will go down as the 3rd highest scoring player ever.
