Hey Mika! One of my work teams favorite members was let go last month. No one really expected it or knew too much but all our quotas stayed the same and if I sulked about it and didn’t show up and produce for my role I’d be canned in a heart beat, because my boss is friendly with me but still my boss and I have a f____g job to do. And I don’t make a fraction of $8.5 million a year. Y’all are soft as shit
There wasn't ONE problem: Too many disgruntled employees. Drury has a Napoleon complex. Laviolette was a gum chewing grump with no pulse. Kreids, Mika, K'Andre have to go unfortunately.

Mika and Kreisler are such pussies for not taking the C and letting the shmuck Trouba take it as a new guy everyone shoulda realized back then Mika and kreider are such cowards that’s how they deal with maybe getting more responsibility and pressure they run and push I off to the next guy
every team deals with adversity or roster changes…maybe it hit mika more but he cannot let that affect his game and it certainly looked like it did. But Miller coming aboard, his numbers and play did improved…hopefully that will carry over.
my least favorite ranger ever – soft, whiney, victimizing. get him off of this team by any means necessary. he and k miller are problem area #1 and its gotta be drurys top priority ASAP

Been reading the comments and I can understand the points of view: soft, weak minded, time to go. I don’t necessarily disagree with that either. His contract is a tough one to move but a skilled two way center man is always needed. I do give him credit for at least admitting that the Goodrow, Trouba and “Drury letter” had an impact on the team. None of the other players would fess up to that.
Mika has been close to a PPG player his entire stint in NYR.. The guy can still play. Re-tool & give the younger players more ice time! Get Quennville in here ASAP! & consistent D-men that dont pinch every other play… Move K'andre to the wing if he wants to be so damn offensive. Next year will be much better. Just gotta believe y'all.
Z isn't a first-line center. He isn't strong enough, or tough enough mentally or physically for the playoffs. Perhaps he is a 2nd line center if he is playing behind an elite center like Crosby or McDavid. He isn't a 3rd line either because his defense is awful. Dude was a -22 this season. If he isn't capable of playing any of the positions I just mentioned what's his role on the Rangers. He doesn't have one. Z is a nice guy, but his time on the Rangers is done. He has to go.

I love the Rangers, but they are not even close being a Stanley Cup Champion.
I tire of these “deep thinking” Rangers who try to control themselves at all times. They come across as lacking fire and passion, and while at times they are wonderful on the ice, they often lack passion and fire, at least enough to push through like SC winners do. But I also blame Drury for not meaningfully strengthening the roster last summer after they got their asses whipped by Florida. Supplement the princes with some ass kickers and some real Big solid Dmen and a coach like Quenneville and we could be something. But get rid of KA. Miller. He has not earned anything. And clearly NY is the wrong place for him to become a dependable pro D man. And Fox is damaged goods. Sad to say but this is reality.
Mika had some good answers here and he speaks well on team matters. The Rangers will bounce back soon I hope
