The New York Rangers will be heading into this NHL draft lottery with the 11th-best overall odds to acquire pick number 1. Rangers have their 1st round pick top 13 protected and have the choice of either giving up a 1st in this 2025 NHL draft or 2026 to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The organization will screw this up. Rangers have no clue how to bring along prospects. Laf was suppose to be this amazing player. He is looking really good (not even close). Ha need an entire new scouting department and who is on top of that DRURY. SO THATS A LOSS
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Keep the draft pick because Rangers are not going to get McKenna next year. I'm not up for drafting a center at all, but I'm all in on Jackson Smith, a tremendous D who is going between 8-15. I'll be over the moon if Rangers get him as he will be a first pair guy. I'd keep John Lilley & the scouting team. They've done a tremendous job with later round picks & even #1s when they have the pick. Unfortunately, Drury has traded away a lot of draft picks for rentals that he couldn't resign.

When Dreary took over Hartford was the #1 Ranked Prospect team , now they cant even make the playoffs either, how he still has a job is perplexing to say the least

There are so many holes to fill, itās not going to happen over night. Hate to say this, but I give it 3 years because they burned a lot of good future picks.
