Todd nelson should be the next head coach. Possibly gonna win a 3rd straight Calder cup (which would be his 4th overall). Poach him from the Caps organization. Guys run through walls for him. He’s a players coach who still knows when to push the buttons. Of non retreads he has the best pedigree out there. Given the stage of the rebuild, his experience with developing prospects while also having some experience at the NHL level as an assistant, he is perfect.
My first Choice is David Carle but that Will not happen he goes to Chicago and the next Flyers head coach Will be Rick Tocchet, I'm not sure he's the Guy for where they' re in rebuild processus

The players dont give a crap. Its a party team because comcrap will declare bankruptcy in 2026. This team is eerily similar to the Quebec Nordiques. Remember Lindros wouldn't play there and shortly thereafter they moved to Colorado. Replace Lindros with Gauthier. Does anyone think McKenna would sign here? Michkov will disappear after next year.

I love Brad Shaw, great hockey coach, and the Flyers need to keep him in this organization. I would like Shaw to replace Lappy as Pahntoms head coach, and get back to synchronizing the style of play between the Phantoms and the big club, so players can be called up and plugged into the lineup and contribute right away. I never understood Tort's belief that Lappy should do whatever he wants, but then Torts would complain that players called up needd a few practices to understand how the Flyers play. It was plain stupid in my opinion.
Thank you Brad. I hope you stay. Couple suggestion observations: The ghost of Hayes remains in Coots. Similar attitude. Not Captain material. Break the bank for a proven goalie & half the problem solved.
.880ish save percentage… Good goaltending would have put this team into the playoffs. Yes, they need some more scoring. Yes, they need to play defense a little better. Those are things that will get them over the hump from playoff team to Cup contender. But, before all that, they need CONSISTENTLY GOOD goaltending. They have a lot of 'prospects'. It's time to see which is going to lead us to the promised land and stop wasting time with goalies that are just toing to drag us down. Saving only 88% of the shots against us isn't going to get us to the Cup. I like Ersson personally, but how much longer are we going to kid ourselves about him? Kolosov played well in LV, but inconsistent in Philly. Fedotov very inconsistent. We have several highly respected goalie prospects. When are we going to start seeing them in LV and give them a chance to jump to Philly and show us something?

I really appreciate how Shaw doesnt act entitled and also chooses his words carefully.
As a former player of hockey I really liked how the players respected him to put up such great numbers and keep the defensive systems rolling.
Shaw has earned my respect as a coach that stands apart from Torts. His defensive mindset he has developed is great!
