The Habs had an opportunity to clinch a playoff position for the first time since 2021 and guess what? They did NOT.. Disappoint! Lets break this one down!

never ever doubted slaf, he might not be scoring a lot but he is there he does things and those things translate into scoring chances … his biggest flaw is language barrier still, once he is all comfy to fullly express himself you will see how high hockey IQ he got. baby steps but he is a star with all the young stars in mtl, this team will be bullying league for years to come and im here for it!

i like the fact that the kids are gonna learn some valuable lessons now that there in the playoffs they may not win but let the learning begin, on the other hand u never know what can happen, i kinda thinking this series is gonna go the distance, stranger things have happened, sometimes u dont wanna play the team that scrapes into the playoffs & i mean scrapes

So glad they delivered because unless you had your head in the sand, me, and everyone who has an iota of knowledge about this game called hockey, we knew that the Habs would be an exciting team almost immediately, and now for the next 6-7 years. Watch out for the big C, little H. Let’s go boys. 💪🏼

I'd be lying if I said I wasnt scared that they're up against Washington right away, but I believe in the boys. I think they can do well and progress, they're the underdogs so there's no pressure on them

game #82 summarized the other 81 games and when it all came down to this final game, we pulled off our biggest W.
we broke 10 yr 20yr trends against teams that dominated us for yrs.
we put of historic franchise & league stats.
we had 6th best record since 4 nations.
we finished 17th compared to 28th last season.
and we made playoffs after 3yr hiatus & rebuild.
the jobs not done yet, but we're on right path.
need more physicality & finishing checks, more aggressive forecheck, better offensive strategic attack, better puck management & control, cleaner passing and the whole 9 yards. Work in progress, we will get there.

Last time I saw a player yell/argue his way out of a penalty was in an Olympic qualification tournament around 2002. And if i remember correctly, it was Kazakhstan, and there was a 20+ goal gap between the teams😂

I don't think making the playoffs was part of "the plan" this year, so we should take every additional game as a gift and just enjoy them.
apparently blue jackets were whining that canes didnt play full team. short term memory. jackets beat the caps 11-1 over 2 games after caps clinched first in eastern conference. they are lucky to get one point in those two games under normal circumstances and these last few games would have been irrelevant.
