I’m not surprised Brock wants to bail.
2:35 eactly better losing for nothing than show the whole league that youre willing to make terrible trades
And yet we didn't get offered a 1st round pick until the very end of the trade deadline for him. I think the league was high.
Calgary will pay him
I think Boeser signs in Minnesota – his home state. The Wild have the Suter and Parise buy outs expiring and they're gonna have the space.
San Jose will pay him
Boeser will never be a hurricane. He isn’t built that way.
Canucks are soft, so many injury prone players. They shouldn't try to resign Boeser
fire patrick allvin! hes an idiot
So so SO true about the idiotic Vancouver management and their constant ability to say the wrong things at the wrong time. Boeser needs a play driving center to set him up. His numbers overall haven't been great since Miller left. So the management again, in order to protect their overpay "elite" (cough) player in EP40, traded Miller, effectively gave up Miller AND Boeser.
But a great point made here: they could lose Miller, Boeser and Tocchet (and Maybe Demko) in 6 months. The current Canucks management group is no better than the previous one – just different type of incompetence.
He’s not worth it.
Been a Boeser fan since he was drafted. But he’s way too inconsistent, slow and isn’t a line driver. The fact that he wants 8 million plus is beyond me
Not suprised he wants to win and Canucks are built on failure.
Nik will stay
Sometimes you have to make trades that aren't necessarily great returns but at least you get a return, that's when you have to make hard decisions. Now you have nothing ????????
Alvin is the next kekalainen in that people thought he would be great at the job but then a decade will go by with a playoff appearance or two and fans will be like what the heck was that
I would argue that he failed to do his job by not finding anything. So you didnt get a first round pick? Can you get a prospect, a roster player, and a 2nd? His job is to find somone and make something work. I dont beieve they really wanted to move him
What did he actually do for the Canucks?
Who the hell wants to live in hippy dippy Vancouver?
Funny thing about Boeser is health hasn't really been his biggest issue the last 4 even 5 years, the latest thing to knock him out was the blood clot last year which I don't see being a recurring thing. He has 70+ games played in each of the last 4 seasons. And played all 56 games in the Covid shortened season before that. So essentially he's played the vast majority of our games the last 5 years. His problem is he's slow and inconsistent. He's a 20-30 goal scorer, will put up 55-65 points, who can't kill penalties, he's a liability in OT, and is just okay at forechecking and defence. For 8.5mil? No thanks, for 8mil that's a no thanks. DeBrusk can do all that, with more speed so he's not a liability in OT, and would do it at a much lower cap hit.
If there's one thing that the Blackhawks need, it's GOAL. SCORING. The Hawks would be a good fit for some offense that's much needed with a solid veteran, have the cap space to do it, and will likely be one of the targets for them in free agency. Idk what his asking price would be, but I know the Hawks can afford him if he wants to come to Chicago.
i dont like losing brock but it gives us the one thing we havent had in years and thats cap space. d core is set and we have 10 forwards for next year. that means we have 17 million to split between mitch marner and resigning puis suter.
I think Boeser goes home and signs with Minnesota to play next to Kaprizov. They have a lot of dead money coming off the books.
Ehlers possibly goes to Chicago to be the sniper on the wing of Bedard.
This goes back to Jim Benning originally… This goes back to their treatment of Bruce… The Vancouver Canucks are a joke organization… Alvin can blame the other GMs for their offers, Or you can do a better job negotiating around the fact that he wasn't simply going to get a first round pick for Brock Boeser… So try for 2 seconds… Look what the price was for Tanev for example… So do a better job selling Boeser to the Jets instead… Trade better for a lower pick and a prospect then… Alvin acts like he had NO other option on the table, If he felt like the offers he WAS receiving FROM OTHER GMS TO START WITH WAS INSULTING…
If Winnipeg goes deep… I could see some top free agents giving them a call. Please keep Ehlers 🙏
DeBrusk is about the same age and other than last year scores about the same amount of goals as Boeser … While Boeser has spent his career on the top line and PP1 and DeBrusk spent most of his on bostons 2nd or 3rd lines didnt' he? And DeBrusk is making 5.5 and is waaaaaay faster than Boeser in todays NHL. I can't see how Boeser is realistically worth more than 6.5 on a long term deal and its likely you are only getting 4 out of 8 decent years from him
Don’t worry, we’ll just replace Boeser with Marner or Tavares. Easy lol
One of the worst managed teams in the league.
I can’t understand why he would reject 8m per. wtf bud you’re not Crosby
Allvin should be fired
No way someone signs him for 7 years. 4? That's a lot more palatable. I get he'd want 8 years, though.
Love this group of idiots. Way to call the kettle black. These morons are talking like true blue leafs fans. Hope you dummies are satisfied with 40mil cap to 4 players that can't make it past the second round. True blue hypocrites
He's been a minus player every year besides last year with Miller. Who cares how many goals you score if you can't keep them out. -25 this year. tell me again about his goal scoring lol
I understand when people look at Brock’s stats and think he’s better than he is but eye test Boeser is usually a negative on the ice. Dude is so slow, can not drive play and his shot hasn’t been the same since like his second season
Allvin is looking like an idiot for not moving him as the deadline. Now, he walks for absolutely nothing.
As a player, he's a one dimensional goal scorer who is very slow. I wouldn't pay him what he wants if I was Vancouver, but then again, their forward group is so depleted (especially after the Miller trade) that they will almost surely have to overpay someone to fill those holes. That Miller trade was horrendous.
Besser just wants out
If Ehlers wants to be an offence guy, he'd look GREAT on the left of Celebribi and Smith ❤
