Today, blackwood was a major upgrade from last year.
1 down 15 to go!!!! Blackwood was absolutely amazing tonight. He showed flashes of Patrick Roy out there and if he continues this kind of play we will be very difficult to beat. Dallas will be better Game #2 but Avs have to get that killer instinct and destroy Dallas. Put Dallas away in 4 and put them behind u completely.

I've been hyper critical that Blackwood and/or wedgewood were not that good with zero post-season experience and I was pissed this is what we were left with. Last night was Georgiev after he let in the worst goal on the first shot you've ever seen, except Blackwood didnt force us to chase all game. Now its only been one game, but game one in a hostile building against a team that has owned us…. keep it up and I am happy to admit I was wrong

The more I see that 4th line , the more I love it! They can play against anyone! As far as Miro coming back , major knee surgery even coming back he won't be his best, we've had injuries the last 2 years in the playoffs I don't feel sorry for Dallas, now they know what it feels like! PS the reason you didn't see Benn, cause usually he acts up when you have no one to answer this year, he knows better! I saw the Avs try to attack that right side D of the Stars, they need to put that in their hands cause that's where they will get more and more chances, and I love that they are hitting every chance they get!

Phenomenal game by Blackwood. Really happy for him. I don't know if Makar was a little tight, but his shots were so crazy, I thought he was gonna come out with the glasses that Charlie Sheen's character in Major League had to fix the issue.
And yes, I also had lingering PTSD from Burky's crazy ass shooting in that moment.

Mackenzie Blackwood was incredible last night. He probably pitches a shutty if he doesn’t lose his stick in the net on Dallas’s goal.
I had a nice big fat laugh when Ross Colton destroyed duchene right as marchment took the 1st trip against Cale. NEVER have I seen something funnier in my life.

Josh Manson may have played his best game as an av. Not sure why Granlund decided to try him again after being demolished once already on that shift in the 3rd but he did and the manimal ended that REAL quick. Then the pass to toews? He was awesome.
I was so nervous headed into the game and that grew and grew right up until that lehky goal. As soon as that one went in I knew the bounces were gonna fall our way all night. Don’t expect too many more 4 goal games in this series though.
All in all a near perfect start to the playoffs season. Great showing by the boys. Although, let’s not forget, we took game 1 in Dallas last year too so it’s far from over
3:11 I’ve heard conflicting reports on heiskanen. Some saying he’s already been ruled out for this entire series. I mean I’m not one to wish injury on a guy, but shit if he already had one, I’m not above hoping the recovery takes some extra time so the boys don’t have to deal with THAT guy. And I have no sympathy for the Robertson injury. Why do you think making and cale (and others) didn’t play for the last week of the regular season. Robertson gets hurt in game 82 that’s in Dallas for him even being out there. I have NO sympathy on that one.

The Avs defense was impressive, the Stars had a hard time getting any offensive rhythm. If they keep it up, I think they win the series somewhat easily.
