a player's unwillingness to accept a 5 year deal and only settling for 8 years is showing why the canucks only want to offer 5. those last 3 years have the potential to be awful for someone with Boeser's skating. I think he should take 8×5 but some team will give him the 8×8 he wants and it will be a bad decision. it sucks, i love Boes but this is how the business works.

Whatever happens i wish him the Best! He's been great for the Canucks organization so far. If he wants to play somewhere else then he deserves that. He's battled hard for us, year in year out. Management can take those millions and bring in someone else. It's all a business in the end. Brock did a fine job here. All the best moving forward Brockstar!

The media always spins so negative. Always talks about trading him. No wonder the guy feels so negatively about this franchise. Got nothing but respect for the guy. But as someone who's seen and heard the Vancouver media, and it's fan base, I'd say run for the hills. Canucks will never win a Cup because our media and exaggerating hype fans will always stress out the team.

Cant players JUST sign again? What's the big deal? Does the players agent HAVE to want the player to sign? OR wait they wont sign if it's $50 less than they want? JUST sign for whatever and make millions and play hockey
If you're still thinking about $8M + per season, then see you never, there are way better options at that salary.
Brock has been a class act his whole career. He has gone through more than his share of adversity. Losing his Father, his serious back injury , blood clots in his legs , just to name a few … I kind of detect in Brock’s voice, that he might work with the Canucks and resign with them . Either way, I wish him all the best, and hopefully we will see Brock scoring goals for the Canucks for years to come…
After Kesler and Bieska left Boeser was my dude. i love watching him on the ice and it kills me hes not signed right now. i cant imagine this team with out him
In my career with big corporate, l learned we are ALL just a number in the end. We are all expendable. It doesn't matter what we did in the past. The dedication, personal sacrifices, money made for the company, don't matter in the end. Highly unlikely Brock will read this, but just in case… put away your emotions, you gave them what you were paid and sometimes more, look after yourself / your family FIRST. REMEMBER, you are just a number to Aquillini and the rest. They really don't care about YOU ! If they did, you would have been signed by now.

We finally have proof that Brock doesn’t drive play, cuz we can all see that he wasn’t good after JT left. His real value should be a notch above Jake Debrusk because they are similar players, maybe around $6mil/season, but unfortunately I think he wants $8mil times 7 or 8yrs because he had this ONE 40-goal season under his belt.
