NHL GAME NIGHT: Wild, Blues CLINCH in CRAZY Night, Flames CRASH OUT, Leafs WIN Division Crown!

On Tuesday night in the NHL, several key storylines unfolded with significant playoff implications.

In the East, the Washington Capitals continued their strong push, defeating the Islanders 3-1, powered by a hat trick from Dylan Strome and a solid performance from Charlie Lindgren in net. The Columbus Blue Jackets shut out the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0, further tightening the Wild Card race. The Toronto Maple Leafs blanked the Buffalo Sabres 4-0, clinching the Atlantic Division title. In a high-scoring affair, the Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the Florida Panthers 5-1. The New Jersey Devils edged out the Boston Bruins 3-2 in overtime.  

In the West, the St. Louis Blues took a big step towards securing a playoff spot with a decisive 6-1 victory over the Utah Hockey Club. The Minnesota Wild overcame the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in overtime. The Calgary Flames outlasted the Vegas Golden Knights 5-4 in a shootout. In a Pacific Division matchup, the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Seattle Kraken 6-5.  

Off the ice, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse was suspended for one game due to a cross-checking incident. Several players also celebrated milestones, including Dylan Strome’s hat trick and Charlie Lindgren reaching 20 wins for the season
