Guy has been in the spotlight for years and has consistently been head and shoulders above the competition until this year, where he still got 94 points in a huge down year for him. He should 100% be taken first. Juraj wouldn’t even be in the conversation for 1 without the Olympics. Def top 5, but not in the same breath as Shane Wright. Would be a huge mistake if MTL takes Slaf
I feel this will be one of those drafts that will work very well for the first 3 picks, as each of their styles are well suited to each respective team.
Wright gets chosen no. 1, as projected since he was 15, to be a second C in a 1-2 punch with Suzuki, great hockey IQ and plays a 200 foot game that is defensively responsible, makes his line mates better, and is suited to the Habs' rebuild (I hope, I'm a Habs fan).
Slafkovsky at no. 2 is an excellent pick for New Jersey; a big winger that can compliment either Hughes or Hischier on the left, and can be a presence in their lineup as a power forward/goalscorer combo.
Cooley at no. 3 is a long-term project for the Coyotes, but that team is planning a proper rebuild, and Cooley can be ready to fulfill his potential by the time they move to their new arena and get more pieces to add.
This is my prediction, like most, but hockey can be funny sometimes. Cannot wait for the draft tomorrow!

Vinny talked to Shane but not to slaf. That says a lot about habs 1st selection
This young man has to be very nervous with 24 hrs remaining for the big day. Well done Shane and good luck.

Tony marinaro grilling him
The Habs would make a big mistake if they don’t take Wright with #1
