Carolina has overachieved this year. Their goaltending is wildly inconsistent, they don’t have a true 2nd line center and their blue line is good but not as good as previous years. Burns and especially Orlov have been bad. The team is good but I would say a pretender this year.
I think that next year they will look much better with $35M+ in cap space and some big prospects moving up.
