It’s the regular season finale for the Dallas Stars tonight in Nashville versus the Predators. Joey Erickson is ready to turn the page and be positive about the Dallas Stars after a lackluster month. The test was always the Stanley Cup playoffs and the returns of Tyler Seguin and Miro Heiskanen could just be what the Stars need. The Preds are a team that have had a disappointing season and the Stars are expecting Thomas Harley, Esa Lindell and Mason Marchment back in the lineup. Maybe tonight is the night they get a win and something positive before round one against the Avs. For the final time of the season we play shooting star!

If the Stars lose to the Preds, you seriously need to turn in your hockey sticks and the franchise should be dismantled. Your 180 is called your brain injecting some delusion and denial to fog out reality. I will say that the Avs will likely be rusty the first 10 mins, and they need to weather the Stars first 10 min storm. Are you serious Joey, c'mon, Miro is a top 10 defenseman, but he is not going to outplay Makar – That was seriously delusional. You might want to go see Makar leading the Norris trophy for the second time, plays the monster defense he can, and is the first defenseman to score 30 goals since 2008. Sorry bro, that was delusional and you lost me on that statement. Miro will not outplay Makar and does not outplay Makar…wow, just wow!
Imagine the year we would have had without the key injuries this season. But honestly I do too look forward to having everyone rested and healthy for the gauntlet ahead. That's all that matters!!
For a moment the Stars were the lone shinning Star and only hope for the Dallas sports area and the fans but now that's gone as well. What has happened over the last month and specifically the last 6 games is absolutely abhorrent. This team was already missing both Tyler and Miro yet they were playing their best hockey then it seemed as if the bottom just completely fell out after that road trip that began in Edmonton with a rout. This team never recovered and honestly looked as if they just stopped caring. Their fall has been swift and border line spectacular and they way they've been playing and against the weakest competition is startling. It looks to me like a team that's lost it's passion and drive and have tuned out the coach. Pete, as much as I like the man, has to go. This is completely unacceptable. Jim Montgomery was fired after leading the Bruins to the best record in NHL history so don't tell me Pete isn't expendable especially after this collapse.

I am a Stars fan but I said long ago this is not a playoff cup team.
When they got Rantanen I said that was a stupid waste of money what they needed was a HQ D man.They rely too much on Heiskanen and when he gassed out in prior playoffs they had no offensive push.They have a pile of third/4th line D that are at times real bad like Lyabushkin who is real bad and gets too much ice time.Harley is not high end come playoffs it's a different game the refs let way too much go like zone entry interference and Dallas does not seem to handle that well.
Stars loose 5 to 1 to preds and loose Robertson. They are snakebit

It doesn’t take a Hockey Genius to see that if this team was in win now mode that the major trade should have been to bring in a stud defenseman instead of the joke that has been #96. Kinda tired of harping on this but it is clearly the biggest reason why this team has flatlined. Team chemistry is gone, the goalies are now being questioned(wtf?) and now we’re talking about how “team defense” is the problem…We have had AHL level guys on the blue line all year and it’s finally caught up.
