The Jets can and will win a 7 game series against St. Louis. However it will be a 7 game series for these reasons.
A) Power Play needs to be moving parts like they were in the first 25 games B) Penalty Kill needs to go back to high pressure puck side attack defense. Tanev and Apples can be key figures to turn pucks over and dump it. Blocking shots is for dummies for fire engines sake's. C) 5 on 5 for 6 feet controlled play and controlled puck lifts out of the zone especially against St Louis. These fellas are like a python snake for fire engine sakes. Don't give them a chance to choke a line out.
D) Hellebuyck needs to stop over managing the puck and play. Freeze the puck when guys need a rest and play goal when need be. ANY GOING OUT OF NET HAS TO BE SAFE PLAYS ONLY. DARING IS STUPID AGAINST NHL CALIBER PLAYERS THAT EASILY KNOCK PUCKS DOWN.
E) HAVE FUN Winning
F) Bring Miller in alternate games to keep Stanley on his toes. Once big man Stan gets too comfortable he tries to do more than he should. Miller gives you goals Stanley gives zero. Get #7 in office for a sit down and get him to drive net or has he forgot he suppose to score too.
Jets could win in 7 and less but…
A) Hellebuyck needs to be reigned in to control games, flow and line changes. DONT OVERTHINK OR OVER MANAGE PUCK.
B) defenses need to lift pucks out for set plays MORE OFTEN
C) have 7 ways to exit zone and signal A gestures with first touch to show the OTHER PLAYERS WHAT premade exit PLAY THE 5 PLAYERS WILL NEED TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
REMEMBER ST LOUIS CAME BACK FROM OBLIVION AND BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES AND OUR LAST WIN OVER THEM HAS STRENGTHENED THEIR RESOLVE. STEP ON THEM HARD AND OFTEN THIS SHOULD BE 4 STRAIGHT REALLY
