No matter how this plays out, this team has an elite core. Demidov, Suzuki, Caufield and Hutson. It's all good.

Cant stand the “fans” that keep blaming coaches, all teams have coaches and all teams lose games, but here, some people think they have it figured out and see everything negatively when the team loses. Calm down and just realize that nobody saw them even close to a playoff spot at the start of the season.
They are the youngest team this close to making the playoffs in the league… so if they make it, consider it a miracle, and so very positive for the future.

MSL went with logic over feel no hate but the wrong call… Demi was the right choice to send 1st cause he was feeling it last night. When someone has a hot hand you put the puck in their hands. Plus he would have blew the roof off the place if he scores. the only spot for him to shoot was 1st unless it went extra.

Demidov should have went in the shootout! Over all three that went. Also Slav should be moved down to line 2 that Lw on line 1 belongs to Demidov , sorry but I still think the Habs made a big mistake drafting Slav! We’re gonna pay a player almost 8m dollars to play half a season and get only 50 points big big mistake

Ok, rose-coloured glasses off: he had a great game for a rookie (very exciting)….scored one, assisted on another….BUT…how concerning was his lack of effort on the back check on Chicago's 3rd goal…that goal was entirely his fault – he just gave up at the red line and watched Chicago go off on a 2 on 1. Where was the busting-it effort to break that up? Is he going to be another one of these (hate to say it) Russians that gets all excited about playing offense, and can't be bothered to play defense? It's one game, but let's keep an even keel here until we see a bit more play in our own zone. I hope he figures it out, because he has potential to be a star.

Is demidov gonna replace slaf on PP1 soon?
Demidov looked great, don't get me wrong. But he has to play defence too. Third goal came from his shot from blue line being blocked by the first defender. At the time of the shot, Guhle was on the goal line and he was even with Demidov on the defensive blue line. It looked like he did not care to defend and Hawks scored a very important goal there.
we need to put Flopkowsky on the block to get a real center to complete DemiGod…..can you magine if he plays with a Barzal, thompson, Crosby….. lets be honest, our 1st line is a duo… Slaf as his skate stock in ciment……. time to get rid of him before its too late and become a Laine situation where we are going to give something to get rid of his contract…..could always try to get another RW at july first ( boeser-Mantha) maybe…..
