  1. Yes there is a good chance Marner leaves Toronto as everyone knows the laffs wont pay him more than Matthews and as someone who is surrounded by leafs fans and has been teasing them all year long that Marner who is a HUGE Bills fan and he HATES the Sewage pit media , will sign with our Sabres on July 1st but unfoutunately this isnt possible if the Sabres sign and give raises to Byram, Macleod and Peterka as there wouldnt be enough cap room to also sign Marner.
Id be more interested in signing those 3 to longterm deals plus give JBD a 3 year deal and then trade Samuelsson and this summers first round pick for a stay at home veteran D man to partner Owen Power . Jamie Oleksiak Seattle, or Rasmus Andersson Calgary would be a good fit . Only down side is they both are UFA next summer.

  2. He wouldn’t ever sign here. But if he somehow did then they absolutely become a playoff team as long as they fix the goalie problem.

  3. Want a good Buffalo Toronto memory , this before most of you were born. March 19, 1981
    Buffalo 14 Toronto 4
9 Sabres goals in the second period is still an NHL record as most goals in one period . I was 16 years old when this happened.

  4. Marner? Good player why not? What the Sabres really need is a big grit guy who can skate, hit, score 15-20 goals and throw down. Think Brad May. Why is Benson the Sabres toughness? What a joke. In the off season Adams should fix the goaltending problem and address the enforcer problem. Hockey isn't all about "puck on a string." It's always the most physical teams that win championships in the NHL.

  5. I don’t remember if I brushed my teeth this morning but I sure remember Campbell saying “don’t boo me” after being traded. While Miller would beat him out in a bracket challenge can you believe there was a time people cried leaving here?

  6. A player the caliber of Mitch Marner would never come to this dumpster fire, it's a complete waste of time to even think about him coming here, Bills fan or not. At the end of the day he wants to win and that ain't happening here with a clueless Jackass like KA and clueless busy body like Pegula. This team is the joke of the league ask any player and they'll tell you their honest opinions on the Sabres.

  7. 4 year deal $16 million for Marner. If it doesn't go well here let him get paid 1 more time at age 31/32

  8. I'm not even going to bother with Marner since it's not happening, but I have 2 Sabres-Leafs memories. 1) Phil Housley going end to end by himself to score a goal at the Aud. I want to say it was January, 1988. It's on the Rock-Em Sabres VHS tape, which you can find here on YouTube. 2) Alex Mogilny scoring 5 seconds into the game at Maple Leaf Gardens, Google says the date was 12-21-91

  9. The Bills are definitely key to having Marner in the conversation. The big thing I know that Marner loves about Toronto and doesn't want to leave, other than being a hometown guy, he knows he is treated like a God in Toronto. Which he will not get any where else.

  10. Give me a goaltender that can make a save , an enforcer or 2 , at least 1 of them on D that brings more than a purse to the rink

  11. No thanks, we don't need him and we shouldn't want him. Not the type of player that will ever find success in the playoffs.

Focus on goaltending and cleaning up the bad contracts/players on the roster (Krebs, Samuelsson, etc.)

  12. Buff would be a perfect fit. He would never worry about his playoff performance because he would never see the playoffs!

  13. I dream of the Sabres hiring a competent GM. That would do far more for this franchise than any player.
