The 2024-25 Boston Bruins season wasn’t exactly one to remember. I decided to go through the roster and give the players a letter grade for that year.
In the comments, let me know your letter grade for each player.

What is your letter grade for the players?
Excellent review.
It's tough to give many of these players a grade because as you say, they've been playing beyond their roles.
I generally agree with your excellent assessment
I'll just pick out a few players
Mason Lohrei was asked to go faaaar beyond his intended role this season. I started looking for Chara when Lindholm went out and Lohrei came up – I'll give that kid a B, played Beyond his experience and skill level, with a relatively new starting goalie…
and A+++++++ for effort.
His stats don't mean anything until next season. Now he knows how to train.
They basically threw him to the wolves.
I watched his postgame interviews. I like this kid. Very hopeful for his future. Defenseman don't develop till later, he's going to have outstanding hockey vision by the time he hits his prime.
A Keeper until further notice
++
Agree on Poitras staying in AHL. To protect his stats. Another one that was expected to play beyond their experience and roles.
I couldn't believe the expectations fans put on him like he was coming into Boston to save this team!
I'll give him a B to balance off a C with Boston and an A with Providence
I think he and Lorhei are very coachable. I look forward to their development. I don't see either one as a savior to the bruins. Matt will get better as the lines around him become consistent,
Yet Mason is going to turn out to be the star of the two.
++
I see Zacha as underestimated. Undervalued. I'd give him an A.
I believe he's just as or more crucial to Pasta as geekie.
I could go on about him but you covered it. I think he's the closest to a Swiss army knife we have except for the defensive end. But he is good at keeping the puck in the O zone
++
Korpisalo C+ came in as a backup goalie. I absolutely did not expect him to shine as a starter, expected him to play about 25-27 games.
But I agree that the schedule made no sense.
He seems to shine in playoffs.
they didn't rotate him frequently enough to keep off the rust.
He went from one crappy team to another banana pants team. Understand his frustration
Don't know what's up goalie Bob's craw these days…
But goalies are funny.

My whole thing with Swayman involves the mismanagement of his development, using him as a product to sell tickets, the fans that spent three years chanting he's the "future of the Bruins" and wouldn't consider any critique nor doubt.
I believe the Bruins dropped the ball on his development, should've sent him to Europe when the Olympics didn't happen or even before he hit NHL ice.
I'm not going to grade Jeremy.
I think he was a pawn used in a game between the Bruins franchise and Lewis Gross.
Perhaps a summer back home in Alaska fishing will do something.
The stress has got to be killing him by now.
Very bad for an athlete's body
my frustration is more with everyone around him…
Not staying realistic
they did to him what they did to Ullmark when he was with us – it was not a balanced load.
Joonas did have a relatively coddled schedule
I don't think I have critiqued any player as much as I have jeremy.
But, we didn't have the internet before!
Haha!
Have fun in Vancouver!
See if you can get a photo of yourself in a Bruins Jersey with a Vegas foam finger!
In Vancouver.
And bring a bodyguard or Zdeno Chara with you!
Heres a contribution to your foam finger or root beer fund!
You've picked a good weather moment to come out here. I'm going to be golfing today and be a "fool in the sun". I agree with your report card fully and can't wait for the carnage to ensue on the Managements report card.
Pretty spot on grades, I would have changed Beecher to a D. I didn’t see anything in his game after the first month.
Considering the salary and expectations, I think a C+ is pretty darn generous for E. Lindholm. The cap is a little different now, but he's making Krejci kind of money (a bit more actually). I never looked at him as a no. 1 center…2C seems about right, but he was supposed to be an upgrade over Zacha and Coyle and really wasn't. That being said, I don't have a B under my bonnet towards him and do hope he turns it around next season. If he can CONSISTENTLY put up Krejci numbers with 20+ G, 60 pts on your 2nd line, I'd say you're getting exactly what you paid for. I don't know, maybe a C+ is a fair grade, but if you gave Lindholm that, than you were definitely being way too generous with Zadorov, lol.
